...because no one else in your party would ever eat there. Mine are numerous due to a strictly meat (make that PLAIN meat) and potatoes family.
This eliminates V&A, Morroco, Norway, Japan, Germany, Jiko, any place that specializes in fish or seafood. Oh yeah, they also don't like sandwiches or fast food. Anybody else in the same boat? Or maybe YOU are the hold out and your family all want to try something different. :bitelip:

My trips are all solo now anyway, but if I do go with my family again, I can't imagine them willing to go to Boma, or most of the signature restaurants, or most or the ones in World Showcase.

When I did go with my family it was Alfredo's, San Angel Inn, Prime Time, and Sci-Fi. None of which I'm in a hurry to return to, except I do want to go back to San Angel Inn, but I don't think I'd go to Prime Time solo, the food was good there though.

I feel your pain. In fact I think we may have the same family. My husband hasn't touched a sandwich in years, refuses to eat McDonalds and doesn't like seafood or Salads. I love seafood and pasta it's just so sad

When my mom and dad's friends go with us I don't ever get to eat pizza...The friend, is so picky it's not even funny. She won't eat cheese or anything tomatoey...she eats spaghetti with just noodles, no sauce...So of course, when ever they go with us, all of the places we eat are decided by if the friend likes the main type of food...so no pizza for me...my parents usually wont even let me get pizza then take it somewhere else to eat with them and the friends....it sucks so much...but, atleast I ge to be at WDW!!

Have you looked at the menus at www.allearsnet.com? My friend and I have dietary restrictions and can't eat pork, shell fish, etc....... a lot of restaurants will accomodate your requests. By the way, they have a wonderful filet mignon at Jiko that comes with mac & cheese! My favorite! :goodvibes

I have been dying to try the fish and chips in England but no one else is interested and the line is always "too long".

I think that I will have to insist that this princess: gets her fish this trip!

Yeah right!

WDWO

ESPN or the sports place in WWS. No TV sports allowed dadgummit. And if I went alone, if they could fit a couch in pop, I'd be on it. Or better yet, I'd be sleeping across the lake in the 30s, the depression years building. So even though these are places I'd have to do alone, I don't dare do them.

This is exactly why we eat at a lot of buffets! DH eats no, and I mean NO, vegetables or salad. Or sauces. If we get him a regular meal, he just refuses the veggies and the side salad, which we end up paying for anyways. Sometimes the kids will eat them, but usually they're all set with their meals. And I cannot eat his and mine! But if we do a buffet, I can eat my salad, veggies and meats etc and he can just do meats and mac & cheese! So much easier!

Anyone picking Biergarten? I know there's someone who did! Last time DH and I ate at Biergarten, there was a man next to us solo. I figured he was on a solo trip, and since I often go to WDW solo, we started a conversation with him. It turns out his trip wasn't solo, just his dining experience. He really wanted to eat there, but the rest of the family went to Italian (Alfredo's?) I had to laugh when, near the end of the meal, a little girl came up to him-it turned out to be his daughter letting him know that they were all done eating and where to meet. What I thought was so funny was that she had her nose wrinkled the whole time and just before she left, she announced, "Boy, it smells funny in here!" No wonder he was solo!

Definitely Boma, or any of the seafood restaurants. My DBF is SO picky, and refuses to ever try anything. The worst part is that on the rare occasion that I *do* convince him to eat somewhere new, he usually finds something he likes on the menu. I really wanted to try Boma on this trip, but he wouldn't hear of it. I know if he'd agreed to go, he probably would have ended up liking it. I should have just made all the ADRs without telling him anything about where we'd be eating. ;)

Cinderella's Castle. My dh and 9yo dd will eat anywhere--we're a very adventurous bunch--our faves are California Grill and Jiko)--but dd is afraid of all the princesses!! (all face characters, actually, she has mild ASD) She wouldn't go into the castle for a princess meal even if I held her feet to the fire.

I know the food there isn't anything special, but I want to eat in the castle someday anyway. I guess one of these days when I do an all-girls trip with my friends I will get to eat there. princess:

My advice...try to fit in a solo trip at least once in your lifetime. It is pure heaven! Honest, and I have an adventurous eating family including two teens who LOVED Boma.

Here's wishing you your choice of dining! pixiedust:

DH is a plain meat and potato man. However, he loves Boma. I was so shocked. He loves their juice (I forget what it is called) that they serve for breakfast. I can't even get him to drink OJ at home.

I would like to try Tea at Park Faire. My guys would never go anywhere near there.

Yup mine are all the same, my dh and dsis won't try anything other than burgers, chicken and once in a while a steak. While shopping in DD I may have to sneak away and order from House of Blues and ask for it to go.

It's frunch. MMMM! :)

Boma for me. I lived it there, but I was the only one. My family has already informeds me that they are NOT going there this year. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

I can't get anyone in my family to eat at the Coral Reef. I love seafood, my dh will eat just about anything that's put in front of him, and the kids...well, they do have kids' menus there!! But no one in the family is interested in eating there. They could care less about that restaurant, even when I told the kids that you can see the fish swimming around. :confused3

On the flip side, I won't eat at the Italian restaurant. Everyone in my family wants to go there, but I am lactose intolerant and all of the meals are loaded with cheese!!! :furious:
