Can Anyone Give Me Any Information On "the Regal Palms"in Davenport? I'm Intesrested In The Townhouses.if You Stayed There, did You Do A 'time Share' Presentation?;) ;) ;)

Comments that I've heard about Regal Palms are the property itself (pools, landscaping, etc.) is very nice, but more than a couple times I've heard complaints about dirty carpet, not so great housekeeping, etc.

If you are looking to stay in that area, there's a brand new condo property called Bella Piazza that is absolutely gorgeous. It's right next to the Berry Town Center, in the same vicinity as Regal Palms.

Friends of mine stayed there a few weeks ago in a 3 br. unit and said it was beautiful.

We stayed at Regal Palms a year and a half ago. We would stay there again if the price was right. We got a 4 bedroom townhouse for $600 including taxes at that time. They have since added a $10/night resort fee. The lady I rented from has increased the cost of her condo to $110 a night and I am not sure I want to pay close to $900. Some of the villas are pretty far from the club house, and I would definitely want something close. We loved the pool area. We spent 4 out of 6 days there on our trip and only did Disney two days. The slide is smallish, but perfect for our kids who are under 10. My then two year old also had a ball on it. The pool area could get pretty crowded, so you may want to get there early to get chairs. The lazy river was fun, but not huge. We bought tubes at the Wal Mart that is about 2 miles north on 27. I recommend putting your name or tying a ribbon to them though because one of ours got taken - probably by accident as there were quite a few other people with the same tubes. There were suppose to be pool towels at the pool each day, but we would have to wait for them because they were short of help and they were waiting for them from the laundry service. My mom and dad ordered food and a drink at the pool one day and they enjoyed it and the price wasn't too bad. There was not always someone taking orders around the pool though, again, I think they were short of help. It says no outside food around the pool, but everyone brought stuff in. Down the road from Regal Palms is a Publix, Chinese food, and pizza restaurant. There is also an Applebees. As for the townhouse, we were pleased with it overall. The furnishings are pretty basic and not as upscale as some of the other places we have stayed, but certainly adequate. The townhouse we stayed in only had two TVs. If we were to stay again, we would look for a place with TVs in each bedroom and the living room.
We did not do a timeshare presentation since we rented directly from an owner.
Good luck with your trip. If you have more questions let me know.

thanks for your responses. We did get a great price and have booked our reservations.
Is the laundry coin operated?
You had to purchase your our tubes for the river? None are provided?
Did you go to the "complimentary ice cream social"?
I know that there is no maid service, but how do you get clear towels?

You should have an apartment size washer and dryer in the townhouse you rented. No money is necessary, you just need to purchase laundry soap and dryer sheets.

I can't remember if there were any tubes to rent right there for the river, if there were they were expensive. The tubes at Wal Mart were $2.88. They were black and had a tire track design on them. Most people who were there when we were had the same tube.

We did not go to the ice cream social, I don't remember there being one.

To get clean towels for your townhouse, you will need to launder them yourself. Clean towels are also available for use at the pool area.

THANK YOU !!!
That answers alot of our questions.
Did you eat there?
Was anyone who has stayed there,"encouraged" to do a time share?
