I remember starting this game almost three years ago, in the late summer of 2005, just after VMK really started kicking off.
I saw the advertisement for VMK on the back of a cereal box, of all places.
This place of virtualism, and intangible objects, has become a home for me when I wanted to escape the stress of school and reality, even if just for a few moments. It's a sad day to see this come, to know that it was never supposed to last.
Regardless of how little or how frequent I visited, I made a vast amount of friends. We have crossed paths, and even though I have not met a lot of you, I still think of you every day, and after tonight, our paths should not be covered by the wooded path, but to be kept strong with the ones who mean so much to us.
I hope we can find away to reconnect again, like we did for almost three years. It's just so sad that the dream that sits in our hands is being taken away from us. There are no promises that we will meet again, or talk to one another like we did on this site, but I know that you, like me, will be out there, wondering as well, what the other people are up to now that this is coming to an end.
I will never forget the memories, and what VMK has brought to all of us, good or bad. Thank you for everything, and I hope to run into you in the future, whether it be in real life, or a different place we have found to connect.
Thanks for everything,
