Okay...picture it...Sicily...1918....
Seriously...
A lot of people order from this great Italian Deli a lot for lunch..they have pizza and sandwiches
So, about 10 mins before I leavve work..I decide to order a sandwhich for dh and a personal pizza for me and ds.
I get done work..I drive there...I go and ask for my order..
I give my name and everyone is looking at me like I have 3 heads..
She gets on the phone..calls someone...and goes...okay.
She goes, your food is at the other store..
I didn't realize there were two stores...I called the wrong number and it was 15 mins down the road on busy highway.
So, she tells me where it is..
I have to go left..but no left hands turns out of driveway.
so, I decide..go right, pull into HUGE shopping center and will just flip a Ueey....Not happeneing....there is traffic coming from every direction and can't get around it...
Drive to other part of shopping center..same thing....can't get around anyone
Drive all the way to other side..no exit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I felt like I was in Chevy Chase European vacation movie, where they go around and around the circle for hrs and can't get out....
I finally go back to the beginning, can finally get out and go right.
Then, I go up to light an make a left onto busy highway...and it is bumper to bumper..
I finally see the place like 4 miles down the road..on left hand side.,
every place I think I can turn.....it says no U Turns..I am getting ticked!!
finally, at the last second..I see a turnaround and pull into it..wait almost 5 mins befoe I can finally get out...and gun it.
drive a bit, get to what I think is the entrance to the pizza place......it is a darn turnaround and I go in a complete circle and am back where I just was..
I go right again...this time, make the right turn and finally get my sandwhich..
So, what should have bene a 10 min trip...took me about 40 mins!!!
It is funny now...but at the time..I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown
