Marshay, let me tell you she has not only learned and doing "okay" she's a wonderful mom and has taken to being the Mom of a little boy really well. It's wonderful being around them, so much fun and warms my heart to watch them!

Great job as a Mom honey, of a boy or a girl for sure!!!! oxox:love:

Awwwwww

Also, make sure the person you marry is really "top of the world, will swing from chandeliers, is proud to tell everyone I am with Steph, and loves you to the point where they will sacrifice themselves for you".

You don't want to settle for anything less and why should you?

Also, there is no need to rush into marriage now -- I know you probably HATE to hear this -- but you are 19. You have wonderful years of your life ahead of you in your 20s/30s where you really get to expand your world, try new things, meet new people, and most importantly -- discover who you are outside of your parents influence and your friends.

Don't feel like just b/c your parents are moving that you need to make a LIFE decision (either to break up, move in or marry BH).

OK, OK, I'm done playing Mom.:goodvibes :goodvibes

I agree with all of that Steph and in my round about way, trying not to be the mama too much, wanted you to take your time to make a decision mainly without saying it, because you are so young and still have to find out where your life is going, what you want to do with it before you becomes a we!

And if you want to visit the parks, as a DVC member (not renter) you get 30% off the annual pass, so it really makes it reasonable. Just remember if you rent, then you don't get an annual pass discount.

But if you already have tickets left over from a previous trip, or decide to do non-park things (like Downtown Disney, visit the resorts, etc), then you can still do the dining plan. However, you won't be able to eat at any of the restaurants in the parks w/o a ticket)

Thanks Marshay...

This has all been very informative...like DVC Renting 101

Didnt want anyone thinking I've never been to WDW. I don't even remember how many times we went as a family when you were all little. They were all great times. Remember when Meg & family from England met us there? Remember DS (your DB)'s eyeglasses exploded in his eye there? I especially liked the Mom & Daughter Trip, that was so much fun.....don't know if I can do it, don't know if you and DH would mind and don't know if Marshay would mind but maybe if you buy DVC points from her we can chip in and come with in a few years, maybe a 2 BR suite? What do you think?

Actually, you should all chip in together and buy a DVC yourself! I know there are many on the DIS boards who go together in 1/2 or 1/3s and then they go to DIS every other year or every 3 years. Or they get a 2BR or Grand Villa and all go together. That way they get the best -- cheaper cost but a gurantee Disney vaca every other year.

Just a thought!

Sorry my computer locked up and I had to shut down and it is still rebooting. Am on DH's computer now while I wait. You go

:rotfl2: Duh, sitting here moving the mouse around wondering why it won't work and heere I'm on DH's computer using my mouse as my laptop is on the table beside me booting up! :lmao:

That literally made me laugh out loud~~~~!!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks Marshay, something we may have to look into down the road a piece. We also hope to retire to FL and if we live in central FL will have our own place to stay and anyone can visit and go there as we'll buy resident's season passes, so much cheaper. But I like the DVC idea for later for sure.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I couldn't figure out what was wrong now. My computer locked up so used his and now his mouse not working? So frustrated and then realized it was my mouse, his laptop, glad I could entertain you, :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Another one of those special "mom" moments, lol

So you mean...you an stay at the DVC resort, purchase the dining plan, and not visit the parks, is that waht you are saying?

That is too cool:thumbsup2

why would you wanna go and not visit the parks?? :confused3

So I started writing down the positive things in my life when DH was in it and the negative things. I took a look at which person I like betted -- the Marshay when I'm with Steve or the Marshay when I'm with DH.

Yes, I even went so far as to write the pros/cons about each of them and (ok, insert geekdom here) even weighed each point to see which one was "worth" more. (Remember that Friends episode when Ross did this??? Just don't let your SO know you are doing this if you think they will freak!!!)

Anyway, for me, it was helpful to see everything and it confirmed my heart. I also believe in the power of prayer in that if you ask God for help/advice, he will give it to you.

thats what I have been doin...

I have lots of those neat messes, lol. The dining room has all the camping stuff in it that I took out of the camper last weekend. Will put that back in since we hope to go this weekend....have all my unemployment stuff on a TV tray in there, will put that away in the back office. We have all that hiding space under the train table but DH has all the train boxes under there so can't use that hiding place darn it all, lol. I'll find places. Kitchen is fine, bedroom is fine, I have the extra laptop and some pictures in the Family room, can put thm in th office in the back for now too. No on expects your office/computer room to be too neat, right, lol? xo:love:

you never answered me mama... did you get 13 yet???

Awwwwwwwww...Thanks Mom.....

Your welcome honey. DH and I have said that many times how you turned out to be a wonderful, loving Mommy! DS adores you and you can just see the love and how much you enjoy him. It's heartwarming to me!

That would be a good idea..Maybe a few years down the line when we are in a better place finaially...
Thanks Marsahy for that idea...:goodvibes

Just wanted to report...DS fell asleep about 15 mins ago wathing the CARS movie!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

why would you wanna go and not visit the parks?? :confused3

Yes, there really is life to Disney w/o ever stepping into a park. We did a 5 day trip to Disney w/o going to parks and had the most relaxing time ever.

Enjoy the hotel!! Spend all day at the pool, walk the gardens. Go horseback riding, take a one-person mini-speed boat, go parasailing, play miniature golf, ride the monorail to epcot and back, go explore the hotels (esp the deluxe ones), go shopping at DTD, take the boat from boardwalk to MGM, eat good meals at the hotels w/o rushing to get on the next ride, get a massage, sit in the sunshine, explore the boardwalk, go to Pleasure Island or Boardwalk nightclubs, go to Fort Wilderness petting zoo, sleep in, stay out late, etc.

With all this, you could easily fill up an entire week and never get to a park.

Sorry my computer locked up and I had to shut down and it is still rebooting. Am on DH's computer now while I wait. You got Lean Mean Thirteen! Wow, I can't wait to get it but fear I have to wait until next month and get it for my birthday along with a new Danielle Steel book coming out. You gotta tell me how good it is so I am dying to get it. Of course I am dying to get it anyway.

Marshay has a good idea there, way the pros and cons and figure out what you really want before you make a decision. Like I said earlier make a decision that will make YOU happy, not everyone else. You have to live it so you have to be happy in it!

:rotfl2: Duh, sitting here moving the mouse around wondering why it won't work and heere I'm on DH's computer using my mouse as my laptop is on the table beside me booting up! :lmao:

:rotfl2: so silly mama!

you girls are wonderful!

Well said Disneymomom! (and shorter than I wrote!! :rotfl2: )

I think you did a great job! I've been trying to convey that same message to steph just because I care and don't want to see her make a decision for the wrong reasons. It's nice you care enough also to take the time to give her advice also.

Sorry for all the typos, using my DH's laptop and the keyboard is smaller and I keep reaching for the wrong keys, not to mention like I said earlier using my mouse trying to make it work on his computer lol.
