~ The Real Housewives of Orange County ~ Season 12~ 2017 ~ JULY 10th

No need for anyone to leave the thread. We are all being civil.

But speaking of not being civil, let's get back to the housewives.:lmao: Lydia has definitely lost her shine with me. Sure, Slade shouldn't have whispered a snarky comment right in front of her. But Lydia sure was beating a dead horse but continuing to bring it up afterward. It was annoying, and she came out looking worse that Slade did for making the original comment.

I agree about Lydia, enough! She should have just let it go, it made her seem very immature. I wish Slade would have just apologized for offending her, and maybe she would have stopped.

I am watching the first couple of years of RHOOC, and they were annoying at times, but likable. I wonder if they watch the old episodes and see how they have changed. I used to never miss an episode, but now if I am home and am not busy, I will watch. If not, no big deal.

They were annoying, but at least it wasn't all the fighting and screaming at each other. You know when that all started? When Tamra joined the cast. Think about it. Before that, were there ever shouting matches? Even when Jo found out that Slade went out with Lauri when they broke up, she didn't start a big fight. She pulled Lauri aside and they calmly discussed it.

I think Tamra sunk to a level, and the rest of the women sank right down with her.

Good for Lydia! I'm glad she called Slade out. I loved, how he attempted to split hairs, regarding the Miss Piggy comment. If you say it...own it. Don't be a weasel. I guess, Slade hasn't changed either.

Tamra had to slam Jim, who wasn't even present. This right after, the apology to Alexis? Same old, lying trash.

What is the deal with Laurie? She kind of sporadically shows up drops some hot gossip and fades into the sunset. Then a few episodes later, here she comes again floating in with some gossip.

I still like Lydia, I think she speaks her mind. I still don't see what Vicki sees in Brooks. She appears to really love him but mostly everyone sees him as a fake. Maybe she sees something we don't?

I think both Slade and Lydia were equally wrong in their exchange. Slade should have apologized for offending her and that would have been the end of it. Continuing to defend himself was dumb. But Lydia made a ridiculously huge deal out of nothing and her "Oh, I see who you are now" comment was just as bad, if not worse than Slade's cheeseburger comment.

I haven't watched last night episode yet, but for the past two of them, I decided that underneath the hippy, I'm all for peace girl, Lydia is a :stir:

She brings up things at inappropriate times and acts like she has a right to do it. I wanted to like her more than any of them.

Slade whispered a derogatory remark and Lydia called him out. This is classic Slade Slimy, attempting to justify unkind, rude comments. He's done this, since day one.

Eh, I really don't think it was a big deal. But as I said, if he would have just apologized, that would have been the end of it. He didn't and then Lydia wouldn't let it drop so it became a HUGE deal. They were both wrong.

I agree. Slade should not have made the comment, and Lydia should have just dropped it. Fine if she want to call him out, but why did she have to keep bringing it up?

I don't have an issue with Lydia bringing it back up. Slade is a jerk. He and Gretchen never take responsibility for anything they say about people. Lydia has been nothing but nice to them. I honestly cannot stand them AT ALL. I want to throw my remote at the TV every time they come on.

Brooks is still creepy.

Gretchen is such a poop stirrer.

"Oh... I don't think Vicki should go dress shopping. She's not your real friend anymore...but it's up to you."

Not the tv! What did it do to you?:lmao: I like Gretchen on her first season. Actually, I liked Slade on season one. But they are awful now. They are a perfect match of awfulness.:rotfl:

I liked her with Jeff. I think he really grounded her. I also think she really loved him and he adored her and she pushing this fake relationship with Slade thinking she can have that with him too.

"Oh... I don't think Vicki should go dress shopping. She's not your real friend anymore...but it's up to you."

Classic Gretchen and when she does get called out on her crap, she quickly tries to backtrack. Tamra (and I can't believe I am saying this) is right. It isn't Gretchen's dress shopping experience, it is hers and as usual Gretchen tries to make it all about her.

As for Lydia and Slade. Lydia was right in calling Slade out because he has said some pretty awful things about the other girls' looks and she wasn't having that. He was really rude. She should have dropped after that but it was refreshing to see someone finally confront Slade.

Did they dig Laurie up to have her trash Vickie all of sudden? Sorry, but I think Laurie looks like a man in drag now - what did she do her face?

If Gretchen was truly a friend to Tamara, she should just shut up about Alexis coming and make the best of it - it's Tamara's day - not Greedy Gretchen's!

Yes, Gretchen should have just kept her mouth shut about the dress shopping. It's not her day, after all. If she ever gets married, she can pick who goes dress shopping. Until then, butt out.

Any thoughts? Really no surprises, it just confirmed how much I dislike Vicki! It was nice to hear about the Keough kids and their reflections on the show. Absent were Quinn and Peggy, and I would have like to heard more about Lynn and less from Jo.
