The fight stems from last season. Apparently, Tamra got a call one night from some guy claiming to be Gretchen's Boyfriend. This was during the time that Jeff was in the hospital and not doing well. Tamra seems to believe that Gretchen's relationship with Jeff was a sham and that Gretchen was in it only for the money and gifts that he lavished on her.

I tend to agree now that it has come out that Slade "Slimey" moved in with Gretchen within two weeks of Jeff's passing.

I agree whole heartedly that Slade needs to keep his body covered. Yech!

Err! I missed the show last night. I was focused on Project Runway and completely forgot that this was on lsat night. I'll have to find a rerun and dvr that. If all else fails, it'll be on again at 9:00 next Thursday night.

My BIGGEST peeve is that these two shows are on at the same time!

I think Vicki has (had?) very very serious acne. She's got lots of scars from it.

Slade moved in 2 weeks after? I thought he was living with Jeanna for awhile too? I wish they'd have been filming that. It would have been funny. I did find it odd that Tamraaaa believed some random dude who called in the middle of the night. I mean, couldn't anyone call you and say anything they wanted?

There are some, um, *pictures* of Gretchen on the internet apparently. I have not looked at them, but if you google, I'd wager that they are not safe for work or kids.

I have watched this train wreck since the very beginning. I miss the first few sets of housewives. Since Jeana is now gone, I have zero interest in any of them and took it off my DVR. I think they are really reaching to find people to appear and the new "housewife" with her 2 nannies and creepy DH isn't anyone I care to watch.

1) OK, Lynne and family have been evicted from 2 houses but she (and the daughter) are getting/got plastic surgery and she is shopping at LaPerla? If you look at her in the 'intro' parts, that they show before each scene when a new housewife is being talked about (she is in the forefront, the rest of the family in the background), you can clearly see that she had it done. When they first showed her this season looking like that, I was like, she got work done (I remember them referring to her as an old surfer chick or something last year) but then they showed her in one of the scenes and I was like oh I guess not, then she went for the consult...she looks like a chipmunk now after the plastic surgery. I bet that Bravo paid for part of the plastic surgery if they are going to show it being done...

1b) I wonder if something was said to her about her kids' underage drinking last season, or if she just came to her senses. I was actually surprised she said 'no' to her daughter when she wanted a beer.

2) Gretchen + Slade = bad, bad, bad trainwreck. He may be the main reason if I don't watch the rest of this season. I cannot take him, or her for that matter.

3) The new chick and her husband speaking so much about their faith within the first 30 seconds of being introduced - didn't the housewife that was super preachy before (Quinn?) not last more than a few episodes? IIRC, that was the reason why (the preachiness).

I could say more about Vicki and Tamra, but why bother, it's all been said!

The difference between Quinn and the new HW is that Quinn was single and preachy. But, she behaved like a cougar tramp. IMO, you don't preach one thing and do another. Time will tell if the new couple gets annoying with their preaching... or if they are hypocrites like Quinn.

you had me rolling about the sharing La Perla - so true! And yeah, um how is it 'exciting' to be forced out of your house? To each their own I guess...I love that the husband was putting a frying pan in a paper bag with champagne glasses.

True about Quinn, she did seem like she was very hypocritical and that is totally what rubbed me the wrong way about her. But the new ppl, well there already was the instance of her standing in the bikini but not wanting to try on the La Perla. Guess what, if there are men in the room or not, you're ON TV!!! From what I remember, the thing that Tamra tried on looked like a pretty covered up bathing suit, a lot moreso than what the new chick had been wearing in the pool.

o.k.-kind of off topic, but does anyone on this thread watch the show 'mercy'? 2 of the new jersey housewives had bit roles on an episode last week-they did well but it was'nt much of a stretch, they played hot tempered *****ey wives



i watched the dr. phil episode-jenna seems delusional about her kids. she's talking about how the oldest son just bought a $4000 dog but is upset with HER because she's having a hard time continuing to pay his car note for him. then lynn is all like 'my husband was hiding our financial situation from me but we're surviving o.k. because of my buisness' (um-does that junk she makes with the glue gun actualy sell? and, maybe once your dh could hide the financials such you got evicted-but twice in a matter of months, and apparantly the plastic surgery happened AFTER the first eviction so you knew you were on thin ice to begin with and you go out and spend thousands on this). and vickey-eeesh, she just sits there with a very high and mighty attitude while dr. phil talks about her new book that discusses her life as a housewife ("i love doing all the cooking and housewifely things") while running a successful buisness.


did anyone watch the bravo thing that ran at midnite after jenna's final episode? i wanted to know what she said about slade. she mentioned during one of the episode breaks (when she was being interviewed) that slade 'almost' moved in with herWTH????

I forget exactly what she said about Slade. It was either that he was going to move in with Vicky and something happened, or he was going to move in with Jeanna and something happened. In either case, he moved in with the other HW for a while.

Oh, and you're right. What a stretch for the NJHWs to play catty witches on Mercy. I can't imagine wanting to beat up on someone who was having an affair with my DH... castrate him, yes... beat up on her, no. Confront her, maybe... with my girlfriends, no.

Didn't they only show him saying it once? It makes me wonder if they didn't use the same quote over and over to get the <ick> effect they wanted. Do trite people even go overboard with these things? I'd ask my DH with whom he was sleeping if he had to keep repeating over and over again about how many carats something was that he bought me.

I couldn't wait to hear what Ryan's reason for prison was. I thought it would be juicier than him not wanting to do community service for driving with a suspended license. Simon needs to take a step back to realize that you reap what you sow. I don't know who the bigger baby is in his relationship with Ryan.

I was glad to see that Gretchen is still in contact with Jeff's kids. If she didn't love him, she wouldn't care about his kids.

I was surprised that Lynne's DDs didn't tell the teen whisperer that they wanted their parents to be responsible enough to keep a roof over their heads. That's a huge step in having a better relationship with your kids, especially when you should be able to afford to do so.

The blind date was just painful to watch.

Ugh. I'm actually feeling sorry for the new girl. I don't think her husband is nice to her at all. He just seems to like having a trophy wife and controlling her. She wasn't even talking about going to Greece by herself and he says "You know I would never let you go to Greece by yourself" . Yeah, thanks for the clarification honey, I didn't quite get that when you said the other night at dinner with Tamra and Simon "We NEVER travel without each other". He just oozes arrogant (word not allowed on the DIS ).

I meant to comment on another episode when they're out at dinner and she ordered that drink?!? OMG, I would have to get a really big tip having to deal with that nonsense.

I do think Ryan owes Simon an apology and that Ryan needs to get his life together. Ryan wants the million dollar lifestyle but doesn't want to work for it.

I'm glad to see Gretchen keeping up with Jeff's kids. I thought that was nice.

How awkward for Brianna?!? I can't even fathom why you would have (agree to) someone come stay with you for 3 days and you don't even know if you like them. I felt uncomfortable watching them.

This is looking to be a rather lame season.
