The Real Housewives of Orange County. OMG!

I usually love Bravo shows, but this one :scared: :scared: :scared:. I can even take Jonathan over these gals!

I didn't watch the show but saw two snippets that were enough to make me not want to watch it. One was the young girl who wanted the $47,000 BMW and said if her mom "loved her" she would buy it and she didn't want some hand-me-down (used BMW). So of course the mom bought it for her.

I only caught parts of it, hoping to catch the rerun this afternoon.

I guess I am a sucker for this kind of stuff. :rotfl:

What I did see looked very made for the camera. EX...The woman meeting other women who lived in the same area.

It was sad.

The only one that seemed somewhat normal was the woman who sells insurance.

The kids were spoiled! That son of the baseball player. LAZY! The Mom said she had other plans and couldn't go to his graduation.

Did you hear that other Dad, the one with the fiance, tell his little boy "The girls like you because you're rich" or something like that.

I couldn't help but watch it.

:sad2: :sad2:

I haven't seen it but I LIVE in Orange County, CA--right on the coast just like the show :rotfl2: Are the women really that bad? :sad2:

Ladyhawke10,

Yes, they are that bad. I'm sure it was edited to make it more exciting but they seemed very selfish.

I felt really bad for the kids.

oh geez. don't get me started on this show. my boyfriend made me watch it. i told him to turn it off or i'll get sick. it was horrible. i can't believe people are that spoiled. the ex-model woman was freaking nuts spoiling her kids like that. the daughter was horrible, the eldest son was a moron. the only one i had a little respect for was the one who was a single mom and got from nowhere to where she is now, but only because she struggled for a while with 2 kids. now her kids are wicked spoiled and she should be ashamed of herself. i told my boyfriend that if we were ever that rich i would never want him to let me stay home and do nothing all day like that one guy told his fiancee. um, obviously he just wants a mother which is why he told her to stay home and cook for him and why the other 2 marriages didn't work out.

i will never watch that show again. it makes me too frustrated, even though i know it was all for the shock value and humor of it all.

When was that on? I've never heard of it. I would have watched it too. Kind of like peaking at an auto accident on the freeway.

i watched this last night and could not believe it it was crazy
the houses the waste
nuts
the kids are no sense of reality

I have one word for the moms on there M.I.L.F.'s

they weren't even though. that's the sad thing. they were like unattractive 40 year old ladies who thought plastic surgery makes them look younger. in that one ladies case (the long blond haired lady) it made her look even older. yuck. haha.

I also live in Orange County. These "Real" housewives all live in Coto De Caza, an exclusive gated community with homes in the $2 million and up range. They might be typical in their nieghborhood, but they are definately not typical for Orange County as a whole.

I don't think they were ****'s at all. The ones who had plastic surgery looked awful and the mom of the baseball player had way too much make up on or something.

The only decent looking one isn't a mom and God help us if she ever becomes one. I feel sorry for her soon to be stepkids. She seems very selfish.

I love how Slade said "I know I'm a great catch." :rotfl2:

Isn't anyone tired of these so called "reality" shows? There's nothing real about them at all. I live in the town where the original Simple Life was filmed. Let me rephrase that the town they didn't mention that most of the show took place in. I knew most of the people and the locations and everything was staged and set up. I would watch it and just laugh it was that or get really mad. After being a witness to one of these shows I just don't believe the junk thats on the other reality shows.

Look at my name and guess where I live?

Let me just say this is NOT the norm here either! :sad2: While waiting at my kids' bus stop (public school btw), me and another Mom were discussing this and just mortified that they're portraying our community this way! :furious:

We are NOT all like this. Nor do we wish to be! These women are pathetic! Give me Target and the School PTA any day over what these women think is important.

And for a note on the 'realism'... there is no body of water for boats to be in anywhere close to us (other than the Pacific), there are no nightclubs for dancing around, the Mexican restaraunt is a total hole in the wall and for sure that was a set-up for "Jo" to introduce herself to 'random' strangers. Never would happen in a million years.

I will watch this... but only to see how ridiculous they are. And to remind myself to never ever become this way. :rotfl2:

So, please don't judge all Coto de Caza residents like these shallow women!

Thanks cotomom! I saw them on the Today show, they were all a little too old & unattractive to be acting so immature & spoiled!

I love a good train wreck, I'll have to watch out for this show.

I came across this show by accident and had to watch it to see what it was about. I live in a nice area in South OC, near Coto and this show isn't anything like where we live. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Talk about shallow. I know that not all of Coto is like this, but it is sad that a show can make you think it is. The sad thing is, these moms think that they really have it all together.
