Most people from Maryland do not like Abraham Lincoln. Because Lincoln threw all the people in Maryland who had a vote if they would be be part of the Union or Confederacy into jail, before they could vote.

So he took away their rights. Maryland would've joined the Confederacy if Lincoln hadn't done that. Those people shouldn't still be mad. If AL hadn't done that the South could've won.

They should get over it and realize it was best for the country.

Now England's history. Oh my goodness. I never knew England had a civil war until today! Actually, I knew next to nothing about England until this week. Annnnnd all we learned was how Englanders don't like the French and liked to have constant war with them. Annnnnnnnd.... umm... were nearly brought to distruction because of some kings.

Yeah. And try squeezing all that history into one week. I'm just glad we don't have to test on England's history because it is confusing. There's Kind Charles II and Kind Charles I and King James I and King James II and ohmygosh, JUST PICK A DIFFERENT NAME FOR YOUR SON!

and i'm not even exaggerating LOL
we have to learn about the battle of hastings, in 1066.

but i remember we learnt about it in year 7, when hastings direct was a big-ish company, and their adverts on tv went 'OH EIGHT HUNDRED DOUBLE OH, TEN SIXTY SIX!'
so that's how we remembered the battle of hastings was in 1066 xD

the great fire of london was 1666 i think. i just remember it having a lot of 6's xD

Not in today's time. I meant people in England and people in France didn't like each other during the 17th/18th centuries. That's the time period we're learning about right now in Ho. World History.

Next year I take Civics, which I cannot wait for, because it's all about the laws and such of America today and throughout history.
