The quest to do everything, well 100 things including all the attractions, has begun. My son (13) is coming along for it all, my daughter wants to come along on all the things she likes, and my wife thinks it is all rather insane.

We got to the parks late (11 am) since we were flying in today from Phoenix. Even with that and rather erratic crowds (15 min wait for Winnie the Pooh, then down to 3 minutes within an hour), we managed to get 16 things marked off the list.

We've done all of Critter Country, all but 1 (JC daytime) in Adventureland, and 2 Main Street vehicles. We also got to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, and a marriage proposal in the middle of their show. So, we are off to a good start, but will have to see what happens tomorrow.

We skipped all the night shows tonight because we were all very tired (having gotten up at 4am). This may be my undoing, but we should still have time, especially if we double up Remember and Fantasmic tomorrow night. I will be in Fantasyland for the magic morning, trying to get as many rides there out of the way. Then over to DCA to get Mulholland Madness before it closes on Tuesday.

Hopefully the crowds will be a bit smaller tomorrow. For now, I am exhausted and have to get up early in the morning.

Awesome quest! When my kids are older I may steal your idea and do the same! :thumbsup2

Wow! How many days do you have? We've stayed for 5 days and never got to everything we wanted to do. (Of course we did other things several times, so we weren't really trying)

Sounds like you're off to a great start! Can't wait to read more!
Have fun :)

Thanks for updating us - I wondered how it was going! Sounds like you have made a great start and so excited your daughter has joined the quest too, if even just for part of it.

We didn't make it to make it to much of the magic morning Sunday, but made it into Disneyland about 15 minutes before opening. With that little time, we elected to go to Tomorrowland instead of Fantasyland. So, we still have done nothing in either Fantasyland or Toon Town, leaving many things left to do in the center of the park.

On the positive, we only have one thing on the left side of the park left to do. I have not been to the Laughing Stock Co. (which I am only doing because of peer pressure, and I am not going to enjoy it). We also only have the Omnibus of the Main Street Vehicles left, so I think I have done everything that is only open on Weekends. We also saw both Remember and Fantasmic! last night, so the night shows are back on schedule, but we were out late, so we are both rather tired.

We also hopped over to DCA, doing everything in Flik's Fun Fair, plus California Screamin' (my son had been afraid of this ride, so the quest gave him the courage to face that fear), Mickey's Fun Wheel (swinging), and Mulholland Madness (which closes Tuesday). For a total of 8 of the items there.

So, we ended up doing 15 more attractions in DL, 8 in DCA, and 1 in DTD (Monorail to the park). We are still on track, 50% done in DL, 24% in DCA and 33% in DTD, or 40% overall in 2 days. With 5 1/2 days left, we should be able to finish this.

Today is a 'rest' day. We will go into DCA and take it slow, maybe see some of the shows, and overall take it easy. Tonight we stay in, swim in the pool and watch the fireworks from the pool deck. Tomorrow will be a big day, I want to get to DL for all of Magic Morning and get Fantasyland and Toon Town done. Then it's Mickey's Halloween Party, so it will be another long day.

By the way, did you know that the Astro Orbiters have foot pedals to control how high you go? You can sit back and relax, not have to try to fight to keep forward in the rocket.

Wow!! Awesome that you have gotten so much done and can now have a rest day. :worship:

I wish I could think of something that you could sub for Laughing Stock...maybe if you stumble upon something uniquely DL you can do that instead so you still have your 100 items. :goodvibes

And thanks for the tip re: Astro Obiters - didn't know that!

Sounds like it is going good. Remember PP first in FL!

The weather is beautiful, warm enough that the water rides are refreshing, but not too hot. We are enjoying the trip tremendously. We have done another 14 items today, with the 2 at the hotel (water slide and fireworks for the pool deck) on tap for this evening.

I was very proud of my son today, who was terrified of Silly Symphony Swings, which plays on both his great fears, open spaces and heights, yet went on it anyways. I think he is going to make it through this, and learn some things about facing fears and finishing what you start.

As for Laughing Stock Co, when I proposed this every poster suggested this, so I finally added it to the list, citing peer pressure as the reason. I probably will enjoy it, but I'll never admit to it.

Here's the latest update on the quest. With 2 1/2 days left we have 18 things left on the list, 11 in DL and 7 in DCA. Although I'm not sure exactly what one of them is. "Disney Animation" is listed as an attraction in DCA, but the description is includes 4 other attractions, so do I consider this one done if I just look around the main room or when I have done all the other attractions?

The ones that have me most concerned at this point are the Omnibus on Main Street and King Arthur's Carousel at night. The Omnibus because I don't know when it will actually be out, and the Carousel because I have to convince my son to on it twice in one day.

Other than those 2 the only problems I see are convincing my son to do some of the more mundane things, like Innovations, the Tortilla and Bakery tours, or Great Moments. As well as having only one night to see ElecTRONica, but since Friday is MHP we will be forced to go to DCA.

We still have to ride TSMM, since it was down until yesterday and today it was not running first thing. No one in this family likes to wait an hour for a ride, so if we can't get to it first thing we are likely to skip it for the day. We'll try again tomorrow, and will get to this one because it is my wife's favorite.

Good luck!!! At least with the Tortilla and Bakery tour you get free samples... and they only take a few minutes each... that might help with your son!

Oh, wanted to ask, did you do the canoes?? We wanted to this trip, and forgot until it was too late--but did see them going on Saturday.

Shouldn't be too bad, hope fully you spot the Omnibus on your way into or out of DL.

The animation academy, you really need to do all 4, sorry can't just walk by them.

Since you have friday night in DCA it shouldn't be too bad. Just remember TSMM gets busy and I'd hit that first in DCA.
