Hi, fantastic forum, but can anyone help me! Going to Miami for 2 weeks from the Uk in late October for 2 weeks. Would like to visit Magic Kingdom for 1 day to give the kids a taste of Disney. (Will probably come back and do it properly in a year or two). Would like to book 2 nights at a WDW resort. Which would allow a family of 5 in one room. (My kids are 7,6,3). If we end up having to have interconnecting rooms, does this double the price?

Also, what type of weather can we expect late oct/early nov? Are we going to be Ok in shorts and T shirts? Hope so, it would be nice to get some sun, theres precious little of that in the Uk that time of year!

Also, does the Magic Kingdom do anything special for Hallowe'en? Would it be just on that day, or the period around it?

Really hoping someone can help me, it will be our first time to Disney. Oh and I'm not too sure of all the abbreviations! Sorry!

Thanks, Lucy xx:Pinkbounc

If you get 2 rooms then you do pay for each room. However, at some of the deluxe resorts they have a daybed which could easily fit one of your children. If you're trying to save some money, then Port Orleans Riverside (POR) does have trundle beds for an extra cost per day but it is far less than the deluxe resorts overall.

Oh yeah, October is considered regular season and the rooms cost more than in November. During that time, also, is Epcot's Food & Wine Festival which is wonderful.

As far as weather, most likely you'll be able to wear shorts and tee shirts in the day and maybe most nights but be sure to bring along pants and long sleeves just in case.

The Magic Kingdom (MK) has a special party called "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" (MNSSHP). The park closes early on certain nights and it is an extra admission cost. I have never been but I think that if you want to go you should buy tickets asap.

Hi, I don't know about the moderates or value resorts, but many of the deluxe resorts have a sofa-bed in the room along with two queen beds. If two of the kids can share then there's plenty of room for two adults and three children. I don't believe it's an extra charge but WDW can clear it up. You can look at the room layouts for all the resorts at this site under the resorts section. I think they have images that show or at least describe what is available at each level of resort.

If you're ok with 60-85 degree temps you should be fine in that time frame. Here's a page with average temps for Orlando year round. Good luck...
