Day 11 Typhoon Lagoon

Apologies first for the lack of pictures in this one as we took an underwater camera which still has to be processed. Today we are up to another very hot and lovely day. We go to Ihop for breakfast and it is very busy. A 20 minute wait and we are seated at our table. The breakfast here is very nice and the pancakes are the best we have tasted so far.

We make Typhoon Lagoon not long after opening and I love the beachy theme here. It is already very busy and it takes us a little time to find some loungers. We end up parking up next to the wave pool and the girls love this. Rebecca wants to stay here and she shrieks with delight every time the wave is on its way. At 2 she is limited to how far up the pool she can go but wants to go right to the top, lol. Chelsea on the other hand is a little wary and it takes her a while to really enjoy it. I go and get us a locker and a refillable mug for the day.

On my return we go to Lazy River and are quite enjoying just floating around here. Colin and I take it in turns to have Rebecca on with us whilst keeping an eye on Chelsea. At some point I am aware of Chelsea calling me and as I turn she has slipped through the ring. On telling her to jump back on I notice she is panicking. I pass Rebecca to her Dad and jump off my ring to see what the problem is. Now if you were in Typhoon Lagoon today and got caught in a traffic jam, Chelsea was the reason, lol. As I approached the ring she had managed to get one leg stuck up on the ring and the rest of her in the water. Whilst trying to calm her and apologise to the folks who were piling up behind us I literally could not stop laughing. I was not the only one though and pretty soon most of the traffic jam was joining in. I tried to get her to pull herself up to no avail and had to hoist her up through the ring pulling the muscles at one side of my back for my trouble. After the drama was finished we enjoyed the rest of our float around before getting off and going back to the wave pool, lol.

We then decided to do Crush n Gusher and it was quite empty. That was fun, lol Chelsea even went on which was surprising because since the Jurassic Park ride she wasn’t keen on big things, lol. She then went on with her Dad whilst Rebecca and I played in the pool. Next up was the storm slides and then onto Mayday falls where Chelsea insisted on going back on a few times. At this point I started to feel a little sorry for Rebecca who was missing out on the action. We took her to Ketchakiddee Creek for a while where she had some fun for herself. We went back to the wave pool again and spent the rest of our day there before heading back to the villa.

This was a fab day and we all enjoyed it a lot. Personally I preferred here to Blizzard beach. Back at the villa it was dinner, pool and bed.

I love IHoP, it's a great way to start the day. I like TL too and hope to get back there this year to try out Crush n Gusher.
