Ok for people who have seen the movie..
What just happened at the end?!?!!

Was that..
WAIT WHAT?!!
Someone who's seen this, explain.. PLEASE.

Before Yo gets in here:

Spoilers:

OK, so Borden (I think) has a twin brother who was missing a finger. So, he had his cut off. The two brothers began living the same life, but each was dating someone else and other things, and all was good. But then, when one of the Brothers Borden got shot in the leg, the other needed a new act. So, he came across the machine with all the electricity. This machine happened to clone himself. New Act! He has his clone enter the electric thing, and he stands on the balcony above. Then, when the clone walks onto there, the trapdoor opens and he falls into the water tank and is drowned. This is all planned by the original Borden, who is standing on the balcony. He comes out and everybody claps, yay! So, his twin recovers and he isn't aware of all this that's going on (at least I believe that's what happens.) He gets in a fight with one of the two people that "he" is dating, and the man in the glasses enters, and explains what's going on to the daughter. So, this keeps going on until the non-cloning-self brother sees his "brother" drowning in the tank and tries to rescue him. Unfortunately for him, he is believed to be a murderer and sent to jail, where he receives a diary from a visitor explaining what happened, to an effect. His brother, on the other hand, is outside of jail and is the man in the glasses with his daughter. Now the other brother in jail sees what is happening, and pretty much accepts his fate. He is killed. Meanwhile, his magical rival is reaping the rewards of his supposedly dead rival. He comes across the cloning machine, and finds a hidden area containing the clones still in their water tanks. The magical rival is, of course, bewildered by this. Enter, once again, the man with the glasses, who shoots the rival and reveals himself to be Borden. He explains the whole idea of what happened to the rival, and then leaves. The rival, as he dies, kicks over a lantern, burning both the machine and the clones. This is good, since Borden won't be able to perform anyway (He's dead, remember? Executed?) As he leaves, the screen shows one of the clones in the tank, pretty much explaining what happened to the clones.

Really crazy. I needed someone to explain the end to me, and she needed it explained to her by her boyfriend, her mom, and her dad.

Yea, it happens. Easily the most confusing movie I've seen in a while (I missed the Science of Sleep, so, yea.)

Ya you beat me to it by a few days (I think.) But me and Shadow pirate had to get someone to explain it to us that had to have their boyfriend, dad, and mom explain it to her.

But I hated the birdy pancakes in that movie it was so cruel.

I believe I understand now.
Those clones in the water tanks are dead.

He put them down there so no one could find them.
I think.
Maybe. xD

Here it is:To magicians are "dueling" to be the best.

Then Angier finds that Borden has the better act and he can't figure out how he does it. He wants to know the secret.

His logic tells him it's got to be some kind of trick...that it's got to be something unheard of. Cutter (the older man) says it's got to be a double.

Angier tries everything to find out the secret and then he discovers this wizard made machine. He thinks it's a failure at first...but then he finds the hats and the cats and realizes it clones.

He now realizes what he is going to do to successfully accomplish the transporting man. However, Tesla (played by David Bowie *the man who gave him the machine*) says that you can never predict exactly how it will turn out.

So, every night when this magic trick is performed, Angier goes into it very unsure of whether there will be a man to complete the presitge (the end part of every magic trick). He drops into the water so that his clones are not over populating. And that is the risky part. If this machine should not work, there will be no prestige and there will be no more of him considering he drowns himself. Yet...he drowns himself thinking that to drown is to feel like you're "going home" since Cutter (the older man) told him that is how it feels when Angier's wife drowned. However, at the end, Angier finds the feeling is agony.

Borden has a "double" his twin brother. That is how he performs the transporting man. They takes turns with the prestige. One thing Angier wanted badly...to be in the prestige. Having the double didn't do that for him. After Borden had his hand shot, the other had to cut his finger off to keep resemblance.

Borden was in love with Sarah and the other was in love with the other woman. That is also why some days he loves Sarah, and other days he doesn't. Get it? Some days that is him and others it is not.

The night of the argument, that was not him. That is why he told her he did not love her. The man who picked up his daughter was him.

The man who lived was the man in love with Sarah and the man who was hanged was in love with the other woman.

At the end, all of this comes together. The three parts are the pledge, the turn and the prestige...during the prestige, the object has to come back. In this case, it's the man.

Angier is shot by Borden at the end.

There is a lot more invovled. But that sums it up fairly quickly. lol. I just watched the movie, so it's fresh in my mind rofl.

There it is. lol.

OOOOOOOOOH.
So he kills himself after every show?
Then he re emerges? or. this is confusing.
But I get it now!
Thanks!!

:thumbsup2 Yes, he drowns himself after every show in the tank of water to be sure he doesn't have too many clones. That is why it is so risky. Since he cannot be 100% sure the machine clones each time, he is nervous after every "turn" because he isn't always sure there will a prestige. :thumbsup2
