Yep...you read right. This pre-trip report doesn't seem to have a title yet. Evidently, my creative side is refusing to cooperate with me today. Maybe I'll come up with something cute and clever soon. But for now, "The Pre-Trip Report Which Has No Title" will just have to do. :rotfl2:

So, how ya'll doing out there is Disboards-land today? Good? Good! Let's get on with the show!

My name is Gina. I am 33 years old, married to the man of my dreams, and mommy to a beautiful and sweet 8 year old little girl. Currently, I am a stay at home mom, which is a job that I really love! I spent my time in corporate America after graduating from college, and they were fantastic years and wonderful experiences, but in January of this year, DH and I decided that my time would be better spent taking care of home and family. It makes things so much easier when Emma is in school. No more rushing in the morning and getting her over to someone's house so they can take her to school so I can get to work. :cool1: Yes, things are a little tighter than they used to be, but we manage, and it seems to be starting to work out beautifully. :goodvibes Anyway...here's me:

This trip is currently planned for June 8-15, 2015. We are having fun planning it, but are a little worried at the same time. We've never gone at this time of year before! We have been during Spring Break twice (the week before Easter, actually), and we've been at Fall break. Let me know how we did picking our time! :confused3

Now, let's get onto the fun part! The actual planning of the trip! Hang on tight, the fun should begin soon!!

Tuning in to follow along!

Personally, I don't think I would ever choose to go in June but if you have been the week before Easter and didn't mind the crowds I would say that June can't be THAT bad. But that's just my guess. Plan for heat, assume the crowds will be with you and be pleasantly surprised when things workout better.

Buckled up, and along for the ride!!! Sounds like a great family vacay!!! I can't really commenting your dates, I've been during Spring Break when I was young, but as a Mommy I've always had to do fall (I have twins w/ epilepsy and have to watch heat).

I never thought that we'd actually volntarily go in June either. I imagine that it's going to be super DUPER hot. But, when we were there before Easter it was WAY hotter than we thought it was going to be. We have gone at that time twice. The first time, the weather was perfect, but the second time, it was SWELTERING. LOL. Along the same lines, we live in southern Kentucky, and it's been a REALLY hot summer here...like up in the hundreds with awful humidity hot. Hopefully we can handle it. But, that's when lots of drinks and Mickey Ice Cream Bars come into play!

Yup! Fall break was the best. We honestly were going to go this fall break (see that little "Next Trip" thingy in my siggy?) But, with a change in me going from working to not working sort of threw a wrench into things. This meant that we wouldn't be able to go until Fall 2015, and we honestly didn't want to wait that long.:rotfl2::laughing:

How old are your twins? :cloud9:

When Gregg and I first started talking about this trip, (which literally was like two weeks ago :rotfl2:), we tossed around many different possibilities of lodging. By doing a little research, we found out that there have sometimes been discounts during the time frame we were looking at. Like up to 35% off discounts in the past. Because of this little tidbit of information, we really started thinking about things. The first thing we thought about was this:

Beach-Club-Resort-02.jpg

Yep...we thought long and hard about Beach Club. This has always been a favorite of mine. The resort is just breathtaking. And that smell? What is that GLORIOUS smell when you walk in the door. Seriously...it's intoxicating.

But then sticker shock kicked in. DANG that place is high! Gregg politely reminded me that there could be a discount for that time of year, so we pressed on.

We looked at standard rooms. We looked at standard rooms on Club Level. We looked at Garden View rooms. We looked at standar rooms on Club Level. (Are you sensing a theme here? :rotfl2:) Yep. We had trapped ourselves into it again. We were seriously thinking about Club Level. We thought this might be a good idea, because then we wouldn't need a dining plan because of all of that wonderful food in the Club Level Lounge.

*insert head smack here* What the DEVIL were we thinking? Of course we would want a dining plan! How would we ever manage going to Disney World and missing out on all of those wonderful restaurants that we love so much?

So...back to the drawing board we went. Which lead us to this:

Yep! That's right, folks! We are headed back to our home away from home. Port Orleans French Quarter. :cool1:

We stayed here on our first two trips and fell completely in love with it. Our last trip, we ventured out and stayed at Pop, just for a change. We really liked Pop, too, don't get me wrong, but we miss French Quarter. We really really love it there. It's small, quiet, and the staff is so wonderful!

OK...so we've got that down. We know where we are staying. What's next? Any ideas? :confused3:lmao::goodvibes
