Kathy Jetson, and other excellent photographers. I have a question for you. Where do you have your photos developed. I find that pictures of Pop Century in particular, have very vivid colors. I recently had photos printed at Costco. My pictures were perfect with vivid color and balance just right. I therefore, turned off auto-correct. I wanted my pictures just like they were. Well, many of the pictures that had perfect color came out much darker than they should have been. I had 270 photos and at least 30% were too dark. I just don't know if it was because I turned off auto-correct (because they were perfect) or if Costco just doesn't do a good job. What photo printing service do you use and do you turn off auto-correct? Your advice please! :worship:

Thank you! I had my camera on auto when I took the day light pictures. I didn't print these out I just put them right from the sd card to photo bucket. I noticed when I do print them out at wal-mart they are darker. Maybe someone else will come along that can help.

thanks Kathy. Maybe someone else has a suggestion. I love your photo of the 1984 sign. 1984 is the first year I went to Disney as an "adult". I was a college junior and went with a friend. It was my first and only visit to River Country. EPCOT had just opened 2 years before, but I don't think we went. I only remember seeing the Electric Light Parade for the first time and having a total blast at River Country. I miss it.

I am now working on my DH to get another stay at Pop as soon as is practical. Its killing me hearing and reading all about Flower & Garden and I don't have reservations.... or a plan to go...:sad2:

I use lots of places. I have found that CVS online (delivered to my house, mever picked up at a store since there isn't one near us) has nice ones. I find the glossy are brighter than the matte. I actually prefer matte, but the glossies come out better so now I order those. I also use shutterfly, york photo, Clark color and snapfish. I beleive all of them you will have to turn off hte auto correct to get them as you uploaded them (I don't think CVS has that feature, but can't remember for sure)
I also like Adorma. It has awesome pictures, but they are a little more pricey. (again you have to turn off the auto correct) I took my older DD's senior pictures and I used them to make prints. They have "real" wallet sizes and they came out wonderful.

I
I recently used Walmart and picked up at the store since I wanted those pictures that day. They didn't have the autocorrect turn off and all my pictures were not nice. They were over saturated and over sharpened since I did al lthat on my own, and they did there own auto thing as well, so I won't be using them ever again.

That's the thing... I DID have Auto-correct off. I checked the order envelope and it indeed said Auto-correct off... yet they still were darker. A few hours ago I came across two photos from that grouping that I had printed on my home Epson photo printer last year for my daughter's Student of the Week presentation board, and I compared them with the ones that Costco printed and the home Epson prints are clearly brighter, crisper and more vivid. I uploaded my order to Costco because it really isn't practical to use the home printer to do 270 prints. I would have needed 2 print-pack kits at $35.00 each. Many of the outdoor prints look fine, but not all of them. The indoor prints were the most disappointing. I think next time, I'll try snapfish. I think that is who I used for the small flip album of my Photopass photos that I made 2 years ago. They were good.

It could just be cosco. If you are unhappy though you could see if the ywill reprint them. I once got some pictures ( I think from snapfish) and half the picture were colored weird. Big splashes of pink on them. I emailed them and they replaced them all.

GREAT pics!! Too Great!!! Now I really miss the Pop even more. Its my DD8's favorite resort. We are DVC, but we stay there whenever we are out of points or don't have enough for the number of days we want. Its our other Home Away from Home!

Jamian, what pictures!! Just wanted to comment that I loved your picture of the Pop sky sooo much. That is just beautiful. :lovestruc
