The Pop Picture Thread, Chapter 2

The washers and dryers were not HE in the 50s laundry room last August. Dryer #11 was possessed or something because it never stopped. It just kept drying and drying...

Fyi, if you get a newly refurbished room, a privacy curtain between the sink area and the rest of the room will be included. There's a thread on the main Resorts forum that talks about where the rehab has been completed, so you'll know where to ask for if you want a new room.

Do you have a link to that main resorts forum? I had trouble finding it.

Has anyone noticed that the new dresser has less storage than the original one. The new one has only 3 drawers and 2 shelf and 2 cubby space. The old dresser had 6 drawers and 3 shelf/cubby area. I had thought I had a rehabbed 70's room in April, but I know we had the original style dresser and TV. :confused3 However, I also know the rehabbed bathroom is what OUR bathroom looked like. Could it have been partially rehabbed? We also didn't have a privacy curtain in the bath area, that was mentioned as included in the rehab. I like the new rooms, but I think the old dresser has more space. I need space!!

Wow thanks. I did get to see pics of the washer/dryers. $2.00 for 25 minutes of drying someone mentioned:scared1: Mine is never done in that time!
It's enough time, trust me, it's HOT in those dryers! ;) At the laundry area at the Hippy Dippy pool, there was one front-loading washer - not sure if it was HE because I wasn't looking for that, but it was front-loading with a sheet of instructions on it.

I wanna go back!!!! :sad1:

We stopped by Pop for some cheesecake in June.

Jamian, how do you get such vivid colors and crisp images in a night shot? I have a Nikon 5000, but I"m a newbie to real photography.

I'm sure the camera was on a tripod and used a long shutter speed. Probably had the shutter open for about 1 minute. This would have been done in manual mode or shutter priority mode, ussually Tv on the dial. The aperature was probably set to about 11 or 16 giving great depth of field (area in focus).

And photoshop, or any of the other fancy editing tools alot use now a days.

thanks for the ideas. I'm just learning about depth of field. I'm dying to learn how to shorten depth of field to blur things that always get in my background such as trash cans! lol is a smaller number a shorter depth of field?

Yes the smaller the number the shorter the area that shows up in focus. Makes portraits look really nice and the faces "pop" in the picture. The photogrpher could have "tweeked" some things in photoshop, but you can't edit in focus. You can make things a little more crisp but not THAT crisp. And even if the person did edit with Photoshop, that is not a bad thing. Many professional photographers use photoshop in some way. You have to with the loss of almost all film. You can think of Phiotoshop the modern darkroom. :lmao:
<sigh> I really miss the days of taking picture with film. I always loved seeing the images "appear" on the paper... <sigh> :cloud9:

If you have any more questions, PM me. I will try my best to answer.:flower3:
