Does anyone else think it's funny when the podcast team says things they have never done in WDW? I was just thinking bout when Pete mentioned that he has never seen Flights of Wonder (not that it's a hugely popular show). I have only been 4 times, but I can't think of anything that we have never done (other than new stuff that opens between trips). We do everything. But I always think in my head that the podcast team has done EVERYTHING at least once and then I am surprised when they mention they have never done something.

How many times have you been and what have you still never seen/done?

You've done everything in four trips? Wow!

Well we had a 14 day honeymoon trip, so that helped :rotfl2: This next trip is the first for our son, so this will be the first time we will have to pick and choose and skip over stuff. I have a feeling a 2 year old won't be willing to sit through the Hall of Presidents quietly and enjoy the air conditioning ;)

We haven't done everything outside the parks that costs extra like La Nouba or the Richard Petty Driving experience. But I can't think of anything inside the parks we've ever skipped!

I don't know how many times I've been.... maybe 20? About to leave on my 6th trip as an adult, and I feel like I've done maybe half of the things that the parks offer.

Really? I am starting to think my husband and I are weird! Do you skip things because they don't interest you or is it because you don't have time? We have done everything once, but some things I won't do again. Example- Did Dinoland once and now we avoid that area completely.

I think maybe you are talking about just attractions/rides. I also say there are many things I haven't done, but I include everything in that, parks, resorts, ect...like, I've never been to either of the waterparks or I have yet to get over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. As many times as I've gone, I haven't been gone into Innoventions at Epcot, that kind of thing.

Yes, I mean things inside the parks...we have sat through some boring innoventions stuff when it was hot! I think we've done so much because we (were) childless commandos who opened and closed the park every day. I am sure there are MANY others who are like this too. I am sad to say we are in the "family" group now and will be moving a lot slower, and for the first time ever...returning to the hotel to nap (but DS is well worth it) :)

I asked my husband what we have never done and he said "eat in every single restaurant" and I don't think that will ever happen! I would LOVE to hear from someone who has done that! ...Kevin?

I've been to WDW at least 50 times, and on my last trip in April I watched the movies in France and China for the first time. There's still a few things that I haven't seen or done. I try to always do a couple of new things on each trip.

My wife and I have been nine times and have yet to ride Kali River Rapids or the Liberty Square Riverboat. We try to do something new upon each visit but just haven't worked those two into the rotation, I guess.

I haven't seen or done everything WDW has to offer and probably never will. My husband dislikes going to WDW so when I am to go I try to visit the rides and shows I have seen before and liked.

I have been four times and have only ridden "It's A Small World" once....:rotfl2:. But I do ride "The Haunted Mansion" each time I visit.

For my last trip, I decided to see the things I like and try a few new things. So that trip was riding the Riverboat (one day I will see Tom Sawyer Island...lol) and just walk and enjoy World Showcase at EPCOT. I have never actually walked through the World Showcase. I would just see it from the outside. So it was really cool to walk through and see all the cool things. One day (or trip) I will actually see the movies and such.

Thinking about it and I think WDW is designed this way. Because if you could see and do everything in one trip why would you ever visit again?? (I know, what a silly statement....:rotfl:).

I don't make a point of wanting to do absolutely everything. For me, it's a vacation, so I move at my own pace and enjoy what I'm up to doing. After over 30 trips, I still haven't done it all, but have done some amazing things; I'm perfectly fine with that. :)

There are only two things we haven't done attractions-wise- Captain EO and ITBAB. ITBAB we will never do. Never. I was sufficiently freaked out by HISTA. I can't even fathom ITBAB. Captain EO, maybe we'll get to it eventually. Oh wait, just thought of a couple more...we haven't done the new M&G in Storybook Circus, and that Storm thing at Innoventions. Well I guess I know what is going on the list for trip 20.

I was just listen to that podcast too and I thought the same thing. They are always talking about 'running over to Disney'. They have my dream job!!

I couldn't imagine a quest to do "everything" at WDW. Love the parks but there are just some things that don't interest me at all. :rolleyes1

I've been to Walt Disney World 8 times and I know I haven't done everything but there are things that are 'must do' everytime I go (Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Mission Space, Carousel of Progress). There are some I've done once and that's enough (Country Bear Jamobree, Ellen's Energy Adventure, Hall of Presidents) And then there are some I've never done (Astro Oribiter, Expedition Everest, Rock 'n "Roller Coaster, Hollywood Tower (although I had to do the queue line and it was worth it) and Primevel Whirl. Those are the ones I can think of but I'm sure there are more I've missed.

My last visit I decided to slow it down and just take time to soak in the atmosphere. I enjoyed strolling down Main Street and all the little alleys and catching little things like hearing the tap dancing school. I took time to listen to the piano guy at Caseys, the Dapper Dans and just looking around at the theming even the ground. I really enjoyed myself.

+1, DW and I have been each year since 1997, Sometimes Twice a year and for the past 3 years we have gone 3 or 4 times a year although 1 or 2 of those trips are just long weekends maybe Thurs-Sun. We havent done everything nor do we plan on doing everything. We are set in our few must do's and then we kinda gravitate toward familiar things. Im sure this fall we will check out the new Fantasyland and when the new DtD opens Im sure we will check that out as well but for most of the trip we are just content with what we like.

But still don't you guys think if you lived there and had an AP you would eventually wander into see everything at least once? I just thought it was funny, I always assume as my "go to" experts that they have seen and done everything.

I try to do something new everytime I go to the park but sometimes that doesn't happen.

Once you live here your park touring changes. You don't scurry around seeing everything. I like that I haven't done it all yet. More to look forward to.

I will have an answer to that in about 10 years when DW and I move down near there. :cool1:

Living in Orlando and being close to the parks has it's advantages.

That being said...Motor Vehicle, the dentist, the grocery store, laundry, family stuff, work (probably should have listed that first), the dry cleaner, errands, car repair....you get it....LIFE....gets in the way.

I think you would be surprised how much we actually go to the parks. The urgency isnt there.

We are in rainy season. Who wants to walk around hot and wet?

When something new opens, we all go see /do /taste etc, but in our own time.

My first visit was in December 1971 and I have somethings to tell you that may shock you....

I've never ridden Dumbo.
I have never been to Tom Sawyer Island.
I havent been on Autopia since 1973.
i have never ridden Goofy's Barnstormer.
I have been on the Carrousel once in my life.
I havent been in the Swiss Family Tree House since 1975 (maybe).
I ride the Jungle Cruise once every 10 years or so.

Now this is just the Magic Kingdom. I could do this with every park, but you'd lose interest.

Now....I can say some AMAZING things...

I have dined at almost every Disney restaurant on property.
I have stayed in almost every hotel on property
I have been to private events that would blow your mind.
I have met Disney legends that have blown my mind.
I have gotten to see and do things I never, in a bazillion years, thought I would get to do.

My point in telling you these things is to let you know that doing every single thing is not part of my bucket list. I dont have the time or the inclination to try.

I'm fairly certain that I'm not missing anything by not going to Tom Sawyer Island.

In addition to everything I've just said.....leaving some things undone allows me to enter the Magic Kingdom with a sense of wonder and discovery.

After more trips than I can count, there is still something in each park that is new to me.

I hope that never goes away.

It's what keeps me going back.
