The Plaza

Leaving for WDW in 3 days....have reservations at the Plaza for Oct 30...wifes Bday...are the so called 'podium" cakes available there????...and how is the food...were only looking for a light meal...thanks

We had dinner there in Aug and it was very good, excellent reuben and cheese steak sandwich...killer fries

I saw alot of people ordering banana splits, bet you could stick a candle in that instead of a cake

love the plaza! my husband usually orders the plaza club and he says it is excellent! happy birthday to your wife!!

Happy Birthday to your wife. Don't know about the "cake", but I can tell you that the Plaza is a must do for us every trip -- our last meal after all of our heavy meals -- and we love it. We've had every sandwich they offer and they are all great; the desserts are excellent!

I went their for lunch in August 2006 and thought the food was ok, however I don't think I will plan on eating there again.

Totally agree with MickeyNicki. I had the reuben and DH had the cheese steak sandwich this past June. They were both fabulous. The fries are fabulous thick cut steak fries..hot and cripsy with just the right amount of salt.
The brownie sundae thing was the best desert ever. Stick a candle in that and it will be much better than any cake!

We loved the Plaza and I always read very favorable reviews. My DS had the tomato soup and it was the best tomato soup I've ever tasted! Another for the steak and cheese! We'll definitely be back!
