The plan: opinions welcome

OK, after roughly a thousand changes, the ADRs are tentatively set up for my upcoming trip. Any thoughts/opinions/input are welcome.

The cast: My mother and myself--we eat anything, but are trying to avoid a Mr. Creosote moment with all the food available on the dining plan.

The method: The tentative plan is to share meal points on virtually all meals to cut down on overeating and leave extra TS credits for signature restaurants. CS points will be intended for breakfast/lunch, and dinners will be TS.

The schedule:

Day 1: Spoodles, or Le Cellier if something opens up
Day 2: California Grill
Day 3: CRT
Day 4: Coral Reef
Day 5: Yachtsman Steakhouse
Day 6: Artist's Point
Day 7: Brown Derby

To me, the only questionable one is the Brown Derby, as pricewise it's probably the cheapest of all the 2 credit TS. I suppose we could pay OOP and use the credits for another meal at a signature, but I wonder if that seems ludicrous to pay for a meal that conceivably could be paid for already, simply to maximize the discount.

Additionally, it now seems as though the option of doing the Fantastmic! package exists on the dining plan, so I could try to see if I could get that added on--however that would then require 4 credits. When I went last, in June, I didn't do the package and got a seat easily at the last minute. Do people think that, historically, the package is a big time-saver in September?

The other issue is that, assuming all meals are shared, there are still 2 credits left-over. Are there some restaurants that have smaller portions than others, where an extra meal would be welcome?

Ah, the joys of obsessive planning... :earboy2:

i think you could share at BD( husband and i did, strip steak, and they even plated it on seperate plates which was nice) since you have the ts i'd go since it is imo the nicest in park rest period.( not really worth 2 credits cost wise but is style wise imo)

LeCellier ( also strip steak for us) was on the skimpy side for sharing. steak was large enough but the sides were miniscule( it think it was roughly 2 small new potaoes cut up for the roasted potato and a tiny baby sized handful of greens. we had "enough" for sharing but was probably the only shared meal we could have used more of

didnt go to crt last time but when we did go that was a little slim too, i think they have a new menu though so not sure what it is like now
