The Pirates and the Frog (7/17 Welcome to the Next Adventure!)

I've been there near Halloween a couple of times, but we never noticed all the carved pumpkins above the stores. Great detail! Thanks for sharing!

Hey there!
Good to know I haven't lost everyone after the long hiatus!
The pumpkins are a fun little detail and we loved finding them all over Main Street.
Stay tuned - there's a couple more we noticed on the way out!

An update! So glad you're back!

So, the mouse has spies, does he?;) Keep us posted on your pirate progress!

When we last left ye, we had found our way into the heart of the Mouse’s Kingdom but needed some grub before pressing on.
We stopped at a galley with a view of the Castle and prepared to plunder our fill.
Disney2009Pirates506.jpg

The menu boded well for me and me crew could use a fine feast before heading off into the lands of this Kingdom.
Disney2009Pirates507.jpg

The staff of the establishment was getting their daily instructions.
Probably a warning that scallywags such as us were sighted in the Kingdom.
Disney2009Pirates508.jpg

And then four large, colorful creatures made their way into the galley.
Good thing we weren’t in yet – those creatures looked ravenous and may be feasting on the patrons!
Disney2009Pirates509.jpg

Inside was an homage to the creatures for this was their galley.
Much like a dragon and his den, this was the hall of the Yellow Bear and his friends.
Disney2009Pirates510.jpg

The first to appear round the corner was the pink creature.
Oversized to us, but the smallest of the Bear’s party, this “Piglet” didn’t pose much of a threat.
Disney2009Pirates511.jpg

In fact, our Pirate Princess even went so far as show the creature some stickers she had collected.
Disney2009Pirates512.jpg

Before the First Mate joined her for a portrait
Disney2009Pirates513.jpg

Our Fair Maiden could not resist the allure of this Pink Piglet either.
Disney2009Pirates514.jpg

Once he departed, a bouncing orange and black blur streaked past.
However, it was distracted by something at the door.
It seems a little one had gotten loose and was trying to sneak in the back entrance.
Tigger was on to the little tike and decided to pay him a visit!
Disney2009Pirates516.jpg

Disney2009Pirates517.jpg

Then the beast bounced back to our table to engage with the Princess and the First Mate
Disney2009Pirates520.jpg

And don’t forget the Cap’n!
Disney2009Pirates521.jpg

With a break in the action, I took my leave and ordered the cook to make his specialty at gun point.
We were then served some of the finest chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of the Mouse in all of the land!
Disney2009Pirates522.jpg

And, of course with the pancakes must come the waffles of the same mold
Disney2009Pirates523.jpg

The Captain’s platter consisted of an omelette (also special ordered at gunpoint) and some lox.
Disney2009Pirates524.jpg

While Little X feasted on the remains of that Pink Piglet – BACON!!!
Disney2009Pirates525.jpg

Disney2009Pirates526.jpg

(to be continued)

Then it was time for that Silly Ol’ Bear.
He snuck up on the Princess catching her totally off guard!
Disney2009Pirates527.jpg

But the Princess also wanted a Big Bear Hug
Disney2009Pirates531.jpg

And the Bear even got down and bowed to me lady showing her the proper respect her lordship deserves.
Disney2009Pirates532.jpg

Then it was time for the First Mate.
Have you ever seen a smile as big as this?
This creature is by far our Mate’s favorite among the inhabitants of this Kingdom.
And he never smiles as large as when the Bear is around.
It’s almost as if our ruthless second-in-command was actually a little boy.
Naaaaah.
Disney2009Pirates528.jpg

But he definitely lights up the room when that Bear is around…
Disney2009Pirates529.jpg

And he cannot let the Bear get away without a big hug – that is, a frontal assault!
Disney2009Pirates530.jpg

And for the proprietor of this establishment, even X came a-runnin’.
Disney2009Pirates534.jpg

Disney2009Pirates535.jpg

Disney2009Pirates537.jpg

It so happens that this creature stuffed with fluff is the favorite of our Fair Maiden as well.
Disney2009Pirates538.jpg

After the meetings, The Bear began a parade around the room beckoning for all the little ones to join him.
Disney2009Pirates541-001.jpg

Disney2009Pirates541.jpg

The princess was excited to partake in such an event.
Disney2009Pirates541-003.jpg

The princess was then showered with gifts as a cupcake appeared at her place.
It was, after all, her birthday.
Disney2009Pirates542-001.jpg

Disney2009Pirates542.jpg

All in all, the meal was a success.
We all left with our bellies full and ready to take on this Kingdom of Magic.
But orders to depart were belayed as another of the creatures approached!
This one was a little more shy than the rest…
Disney2009Pirates544.jpg

But me crew was waiting with arms outstretched for this miserable ol’ donkey.
Disney2009Pirates545-001.jpg

Disney2009Pirates546.jpg

And, as X discovered, he’s apparently very fuzzy as well.
Disney2009Pirates548.jpg

Finally, we took our leave of the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood.
With a last farewell, our smiles were still bright!
Disney2009Pirates550.jpg

But we had our mission for the day and the First Mate would not be deterred.
In fact, we were off in search of the bear’s tall tales.
Grab a hunny pot and tag along me hearties!
Disney2009Pirates550-001.jpg

What a fun update! Starting a MK day with breakfast at the Crystal Palace can't be beat :goodvibes The pictures are adorable! It's obvious your crew loves the 100 Acre Wood gang :)

It's definitely a tradition to get the earliest ADR at Crystal Palace on a non-EMH day in preparation for a great day at the MK!

Usually after our breakfast with the bear, we head off across the bridge into the Caribbean - a pirate's home away from home.
However, today’s mission led us off to different lands.
The First Mate guided us towards the Castle and over a different bridge.
After a steep hill we arrived in the Land of Fantasies.
There to greet us was an old, jolly voodoo witch.
Unwary passerbys referred to her as “the Fairy Godmother”, but we knew better.
Nevertheless, we did not want to get on her bad side so our Pirate Princess engaged the foe.
Disney2009Pirates551-002.jpg

Finally, after earning her trust, there were smiles all around.
Disney2009Pirates552.jpg

While she distracted the guardian of this land, I stole away in search of treasure.
Indeed I found some by grabbing an elusive Pass of Fast for each member of me crew to Peter Pan’s Flight.
We heard tale of our breathren Captain Hook who was bested by this child and we had sworn our vengeance.
But that was for later.

Upon my return, I gathered me crew and we made our way to the Lair of the Bear.
Now that we had dined with the creature called Winnie the Pooh, we were off to plunder his wood.
Disney2009Pirates553.jpg

In order to not be detected, we had to climb into large “hunny pots”.
Disney2009Pirates554.jpg

I detest this sticky stuff but me crew was all for diving into the sloppy stuff.
Disney2009Pirates555.jpg

There we were told the tale of the silly ol’ bear during a Blustery Day.
Disney2009Pirates556.jpg

Around then the bouncing orange and black stripes made their appearance…
Disney2009Pirates557.jpg

Before we knew it, the tale ended.
It seems Pooh was the hero in the end and everyone rejoiced.
Disney2009Pirates560.jpg

Then Pooh celebrated in the way only he can covering himself in a hunny similar to the stuff in our pot.
Disney2009Pirates559.jpg

Finally, me and me crew emerged from the hunny pots and took our leave of the creatures of the Hundred Acre Wood.
Disney2009Pirates561.jpg

For me princess had sighted mermaids nearby and we needed to investigate.
Hoist the sails and come along!
But take heed if those sirens of the deep try to lure us in….

Hi Family Cappel!! Just stopping by once again- this time to wish you a VERY Merry Christmas!!! I hope your day is filled with wonder and meaning- and it perfect in every way!

Also, wanted to let you know, that I AM reading along, just haven't had enough time to quote or comment so much- I am terribly behind in so many of the threads I follow, but I AM reading along. After our move (again!) I really hope to be a more dedicated reader and poster for you. :goodvibes

Merry Mikemas :santa: Everyone!

You see, December 25th is my birthday.
So The Capells are sitting home watching Disney movies and playing games all day.

Good to know you are still here.
I was beginning to think we lost most of the gang once my computer fried and we went on hiatus.
Well, I hope to catch up a ton over the next week since I'm taking a week off to relax with the family.
And what better way to relax that dream of Disney vacations past.
And, of course, plan for the upcoming one - 28 DAYS TO GO!!! :yay:

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

party::bday:party: Enjoy your day and the family time!

Thanks everyone!
We had a great day just lounging, watching movies, and playing games.
And, of course, we gathered round to watch the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade!
Yeah Phineas and Ferb!!

And then we started our Disney Movie Countdown Double Feature - Holiday Edition which we'll finish up tomorrow:

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
and
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

Two great holiday films with all the familiar Disney characters.
We look forward to them every year!
And to top it off, my lovely wife even bought me a "It's My Birthday!" Mickey and the Gang shirt to wear all day.
Here it is (along with my 3 Mikemas Elves)...

Happy Holidays Everyone!! :santa:

Yeah, but the snowstorm heading this way is a day late! After all, don't you want to be snowed in on Mikemas already? :santa: party:

:santa: Merry Christmas & Happy Belated Birthday!!!

I'm all caught up again. We did not have that great a meal at Shutters either, we were stuck there during Hurricane Francis a few years back & from your experience, sounds like it hasn't gotten any better :confused3 You'd think they'd be doing something about that, I think overall WDW does a pretty good job with their restaurants but this one has been overlooked :rolleyes1

Loved the pic's at Crystal Palace. I think that is one of the "funnest" places to dine in all of WDW, right up there with Chef Mickey's in my book  Glad to see your little princess has a fun birthday celebration there. That's where I celebrated my birthday this year too :woohoo:

After seeing your Nov 1 pic's, that is definantely the time to be at WDW it seems! One of these days I think we're going to have to book the MNSSHP and plan to be there after Halloween.

Looking forward to more popcorn::

Hi ALL7OFUS! You are moving again!?!?! Were are you headed now???

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a Happy, Merry Christmakwanzakkah!!! We've had a lovely holiday break so far! In fact, DH and the kids are watching one of our favorite Disney Holiday movies right now! Any guesses??

At this point in our TR I just had to pipe in to pay special tribute to the Fairy Godmother. Did you see the picture of her with DD?? In her beautiful shimmery blue robes and that GIANT pink bow??

Well, when the kids are all grown and these two Disney Fanatics retire to WDW, I WANT HER JOB!!! I think I would make a fabulous Fairy Godmother- don't you? :cutie:

I keep trying to convince the family to do Cinderella for Halloween one year so that I can be the Fairy Godmother but the guys just won't go for it! :sad1:
Sigh.
