The Pioneer Woman

I am going to send this to 2 friends of mine. Both are NJ girls but who have a certain 'can do on my own' attitude that makes me call them Pioneer Women every so often. One does stuff like walk all over town instead of asking for a lift if the car is in the shop and the other makes EVERYTHING from scratch and adores Americana books ect.

Me, I'm too girly to be a Pioneer Woman, how could I possibly be a pioneer when I won't even sit in a car without AC? Still, I find the whole mind-set charming, not for me mind you, but absolutely mesmerizing. Love it!
