Has anyone else heard that The Pier has gone into recievership?? I'm gutted- It's my fave shop! I must bulk buy everything they have in stock...

Robert's Dad told me yesterday, but then Robert's found on the internet today that they're trying to get someone to buy it as a 'going concern'....

The company behind ILVA bought the Pier and it seems like they have dragged the Pier down with them

I love the Pier, I am getting some furniture half price for our spare bedroom were decorating-its all available online .

It's a shame it wasn't like that before they announced their problems - the Kingston one hardly ever had any customers when I've walked past.

Yes, we saw the final show on Saturday. Would go and see it again if it came to Aberdeen

It's a shame but I think, like Woolies, they were a victim of staying overpriced in a very competitive market (Ikea etc)
