Any Pushing Daisies fans out there? Since Disney either owns rights to the name of the pie shop (The Pie Hole) from that program or might have some partial rights, wouldn't this be a fantastic new addition to Disney Studios?

Imagine it!! :thumbsup2

Ah, Lee Pace. Would he be there making pie? If so, I'm in!

Anyway, I dunno. I mean, all the associations with reanimated dead ppl... maybe put it by ToT??

Sorry but Pushing Daisies is owned by Warner Brothers, not Disney.

My family loves Pushing Daisies! That was one of the most creative shows on tv and we'd love to go to the Pie Hole!

That's true. Just because it aired on ABC doesn't mean Disney owns the show. That's just a network, not who produces it.

I LOVED Pushing Daisies! I was so upset when it got cancelled. That would be so cool to have a pie shop at Disney themed like the one in the show!:)

I loved this show too.... I got soooooooo excited when last Saturday my DRV recorded a new episode, I was like YAY they decided not to cancel after all, but I just found out they are just playing the last 4 unaired episodes, it is still cancelled but at least we can see the remaining episodes.

That might explain why ABC/Disney didn't give the program more of a chance... REGARDLESS, it would make for a fantastic coffee, pie, malt type of restaurant.

Interesting post - on the other thread - Bicker.

I guess we're in general agreement, then? That might be a first. :goodvibes

Peace

Don't worry... if we work a bit at it, I'm sure we can come up with a point of contention to disagree about. :rotfl:

We love this show! So sad it got cancelled!!!:guilty:

oh no. i love this. series 2 only finished in the uk a few of weeks ago. did you guys get a series 3 then. there seemed to be a few loose ends that would lead into another series

There are several loose ends: Specifically, Vivian and Lily's story; Olive's story; Emerson Cod's story; and, of course, Chuck and Ned's story. With these three remaining episodes in the second season (two of which have already been broadcast, with the final one being broadcast here in the US next weekend), we have been promised a good amount of closure on the first three of those.

However, Brian Fuller made it clear that there simply wasn't enough time to tie up the loose ends on Chuck and Ned's story. That will probably be provided through a series of graphic novels (read: comic books).

There will not be a third television season.

the last episode shown here was 'kerplunk' When one half of the synchronized swimming duo the Aquadolls meets with an unfortunate end (murder by shark?), the Darling Mermaid Darlings get a chance to come out of retirement at a traveling water circus
i don't hold out any hope of us getting the remaining episodes, ITV (tv channel) cut out an episode ('dummy') from season 1 because there was't time in the viewing schedule to show all the episodes:headache:

Kerplunk has not aired here yet... it was the final episode produced and will be the last one presented.

I read somewhere that there might be a Pushing Daisies movie. I hope so! I was in total shock when I heard it had been cancelled! My niece refused to watch anything on ABC as a protest! :)

The movie was more of a "desperate hope" fostered by some casual words Kristen Chenoweth said in January. The creator of Pushing Daisies said this in April:
As for the movie, Fuller admits it's a bit of a "pipe dream. A lot of things need to happen and align for that to happen, but I would love to turn the comic book into a movie, because I think the story is a lot of fun, and it speaks to a bigger, broader canvas than we were able to do on television."
So after we see the comic book, maybe they'll think about a movie. Time will tell.
