the Peabody?

Hi all! We are staying there over Christmas and wondering what it is like.

Any suggestions or advice?

The Peabody is very nice. One of the nicest properties on International drive.
We stayed there last year. We had no complaints. Much to our surprise, our room had a balcony. Most rooms don't. If possible, I would request a balcony room. The hotel is very large. Off the fifth floor are the recreation decks. One side of the hotel has a very large pool area. Our room overlooked this side of the hotel, which looks directly across to the Orange County Convention Center. On the other side of the hotel are tennis courts and a little area where they house the ducks when they are not in the main lobby swimming in the fountain. The restaurants are some of the best in the area. They are also a bit pricey. Valet parking was reasonable, though self parking was close by and only a very short walk to the lobby side entrance.
I bet they will have beautiful Christmas decorations. If you can, post some photos when you get back so we can see how the Peabody decorates for the Holidays.

We are having brunch at the Cappricio grille Christmas morning, so I am glad to hear the restaurants are good there.

They have really nice pens there, make sure to grab one of the ones that are free for you to take

The Peabody is absolutely lovely. We have brunch there every year on Thanksgiving and Mothers Day--YUM! Bring your appetite, the food is amazing!

I stayed there in May. They charge a daily resort fee that provides you with internet access, your daily paper, trolley passes and two bottles of water per day.

I was there last year for a convention, and it was VERY nice!
