The path from near Jimmy Neutron to IOA?

I'm in the middle of doing a one day 2 park itinerary for my DS & his new fiance. I've read that there is a "secret" path that connects US & IOA that is quicker and that lets you bypass City Walk. Can someone please tell me exactly where this path is?

They'll be going from Universal to IOA. I would love to save them some valuable touring time!!

When you are at citywalk you will notice where HardRock cafe and NBA city restaurants are that is the path that everyone is refering too.
It basically takes you beside the blueman group theater where you can enter into Universal side and walk toward NBA city and it takes you to IOA entrance.

I'm not sure that the path is open right now since that is where the new Rockit coaster is being built.

I don't believe it is open right now. I seem to remember seeing construction walls up around that area. I'll check it out the next time I go.

They may have closed it off since I was there a few weeks ago!!But they were fences on both sides(a small corridor hard too see unless you look hard for it)
