It's a nice walk or bike ride. Lots of critters to see in the morning.
We have been forced to stop and shoo the deer off the trail so we could pass!

On our first trip to the Fort we never went over there but we would like to this time. This is the second time I have heard about someone going over for breakfast.. Do they have a good restaurant we should try? Do we need to make a reservation?

You can eat at the QS restaurant Roaring Fork without a reservation. Mickey waffles...yay!

I frequently saw deer on the path and occasionally a large snake. Just leave them alone and walk on. Great jogging path too.

We were at FW the first week of March. The walking path between FW to WL was temporarily closed to accommodate the construction work.

We always brought ours yes. Like you said you can't bring them to WL but you can on path. Not sure if path is open right now tho or how far bc they are doing construction might want to check.
