Hi....It is almost time for me to call and make my ADRs and I am getting nervous! Our number one priority is CRT (I have 2 girls, 4 and 6 and this is one of the most important parts of the trip)!!

When I call to make my ADRs do I have to do them in order (first day ressies first, then second day next, etc...) or can I ask them to check for openings for any day we are there for CRT first and book that first? I hope this makes sense.

Also, I will be calling exactly 180 days out and we will be there for 10 days....do you think I should be worried about getting CRT for breakfast ... do you think even when you call 180 days out you still might not get in???

Thank you so much for any help you can give me!

I know it is very nerveracking! Definetely ask for availability for CRT first, it goes fast-take any day you can. I always skip around, it does not matter which order you do it in. I ask for the places like Cali Grill, Artist Point etc. that are very popular and fill up fast. Sometimes there is no availability so be a little flexible on days for restaurants. Ask for less traditional times-5:15, 5:45 etc. Many restaurants have 5 or 15 minute slots.

At 7:00AM have a credit card ready for the CRT payment, pretty sure it is paid upfront, and if you are going to California Grill they ask for a credit card number. It is charged if you do not show up. I always have my week laid out on paper so I can plug the reservations in on each day along with your confirmation number that is given with each reservation. Make a copy or two of this sheet to carry with you in the carry on, as well as the suitcase. I put my dining information in my Blackberry calender to keep track. Good luck :)

slight hijack-- sorry!

I'm a teacher. There is NO way I can call at 7 am-- I sign in at school by 7:30. We're going to WDW in August.

We're not planning on Cinderella's castle. (In fact, the ones I'm planning at the moment are: Chef Mickeys, Norway Princess Breakfast, Le'Cellier, Coral Reef, Fantasmic Package-- not sure which restaurant yet-- and one other.)

Am I going to have a problem if I wait until I get home at 4 pm?

Aliceacc -

From what I've read previously on these boards, the main ones you MAY have a problem with are Chef's and Le Cellier. Since you're going in August, these will book up quite quickly. If you're flexible with the dates though, you may be able to get them :)

What a killer! Our 180 day mark is the day BEFORE school closes for a week long break!!

Maybe I'll pray for a snow day????
Thanks for your help!

Maybe not. I didn't make ADRS until the end of April for my September trip last year and had no problem getting Le Cellier or Coral Reef. Didn't have a problem getting any of them actually, but those were the only 2 I had that you had listed. I did have to adjust my time about 30 minutes here or there for some of them, but it was no big deal.

Aliceacc - since the reservation is 180 + 10 - all may not be lost for you.

Disney has a small number of tables open for each restaurant at 190 days out. They open most of their tables at exactly 180 days.

Because of this, as long as your LeCellier and Chef Mickey's aren't on the first day of your vacation - you'll be fine. If you can't get those two at 4pm on your first try, try at 7am at the exact 180 day mark for those two restaurants.

Ya know what? Sometimes I have to remind myself that this is a vacation. I love projects, and this trip is right up there with the best of them.

I'll call after school. If I can't get those 2 restaurants for dinner, I'll get them for a late lunch. Or do Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Or try Tueday instead of Monday.

OK-- back to the original question:

I'm a novice here, but why not book your 2 favorites first? That way, if you can't get them close to the times you want, you can switch up some of your days just as I plan to.
