Wednesday 20 April.
We woke to another gorgeous sunrise.
We had a later breakfast not until 10 past 7! We caught the same bus as yesterday into the Park and were soon enjoying EMH. We did Buzz twice, winning once each, so the score was 3-2 for the trip so far.
Dtr rode Space Mountain next and then we went to Fantasyland for our usual Peter Pan ride.
We left the Park and went to queue at the Studios we decided Dtr would go to RnRC and I would collect FPs for TOT and then go and join her. When I got there she was at the very front of the queue. It seems not many people choose RnRC as their first ride too busy queuing for Crush and TOT, I suppose.
I sat outside in the sunshine while she had her ride and when she got off we went to check the laser display board (silly joke of ours the waiting times info board) and saw that RC Racer had only 10 minutes posted so we had time for Dtr to do that before we used our FPs.
I used that time to have another ride on Slinky. When the CM asks Vous etes combien? and I hold up just one finger they always give me a sympathetic, pitying smile as if its sad that a middle aged women would ride such a baby ride on their own. Oh yes, just remembered it is!
Our fast pass time had arrived so we went to TOT and Dtr was on quite quickly. It was nearly 11 when she got off so we thought that Casey and LPDCDF had just opened so we went back into the Park to ride them. However Casey already had a queue time of 45 mins, so that wasnt happening! LPDCDF was quiet once again so we went on that then went out to take a photo or two
then go to the shop at the station to get our sandwiches for lunch.
Back at the Hotel we went for our now traditional walk around the lake (according to Dtr, if you do something more than twice it becomes traditional) before trying out the quirky French keyboard (rather than qwerty ha!) in the internet corner. We went back to the room to get our sandwiches back out of our fridge and eat lunch followed by a snooze for us both.
It was a good job I set my alarm as we both went off quite deeply. Back out into the blazing sunshine, we caught the bus and got back into the Park just as the Parade was starting, so we went up to the balcony of the train station to watch.
There seemed to be a number of things that had been added, or that I just hadnt noticed before. During the stop the can can dancers got some children to join in their dancing, Woody had some children lassoing; Jessie had some riding hobby horses.
There was something going with this honey pot and bees as well.
After watching the parade, we walked through Liberty Arcade and into Frontierland we had just 10 minutes until our dinner reservation at Silver Spur.
We had another lovely meal in here weve been here on our last few trips and the quality has been very good.
My starter
We both had the same main course
Dtr had a New Generation cocktail (even though New Generation is SO last month!)
It was nearly half seven when we got out so Dtr decided to queue for BTM this was estimated at 50 minutes. I said I would go on a few soft rides and we planned to meet up later. I went to Casey but the queue time was 45 mins even though it was due to shut in 25 minutes time. As I dithered about whether to join, a CM came and changed the time to 90 minutes! I wondered if that was a ploy to stop people joining the queue, but if it was, it didnt work. I watched amazed as people came up, most of them commented about the 90 minutes, then still joined the queue!
I like the ride but not that much so I went on LPDCDF again (no queue again) and then to Snow White. I wandered in Adventureland then to take some photos.
What a difference 4 months makes - these 2 photos taken at the same spot 4 months apart........
I climbed the Robinsons Tree House to get some snaps.
After this I went to wait for Dtr, thinking she would just be finishing on BTM.
We missed each other by minutes. Her phone battery had died, so she went off to get some photos, while I sat at the exit of BTM for half an hour waiting in vain.
Dtr took this first photo on BTM and the other 2 around Frontierland as the sun went down.
We met up just as the Park was closing and had a little look at the shops in the Village before catching the shuttle bus.
As the Park hadnt long been closed there was a bit of a scrum tonight and we saw a young girl VERY nearly get run over. She was standing on the very edge of the pavement as the bus pulled in and as it slowed she just stepped out in front of it. I swear the collective gasp from the crowd could be heard in Paris. Some woman just stuck out a hand and pulled her back by her upper arm and the bus went past inches from her. She was only about 9 and seemed to be on her own. She didnt look at all concerned, never said anything to the woman, just wormed her way on to the bus. She stood on her own until the bus got to Explorers and then got off. Scary stuff.
We did a little bit of packing before settling back to read and drifting off to sleep.
