Monday 13 April (Easter Monday)
As the Eurostar timings had changed back to 9.53 departures we didnt need to leave the house until 8.00 am and we got to St Pancras in plenty of time. I went to print out my Eurostar tickets and a helpful Eurostar employee came and tried to tell me how to do it, leaning over my shoulder to push buttons. I managed to stop him just as he was about to press the button to print out our tickets for my November trip! Then the machine broke halfway through printing the correct tickets, so it was over to the ticket office to ask them to reprint them. Good job we were in plenty of time. Eventually we were on our way and at exactly the right time we were pulling into Marne La Valle. As you get off the train you hear the music they are playing there Mickeys Magical Party Time.
It was a lovely day and felt very warm to us. We left our bags and jackets at Guest Storage and entered the Park.
I decided to take my traditional looking down Main St photo. I like to compare between the last and current visits.
Minnies Party Train was just making its way down the street. I was pleased to hear they still play Tous En Train as I liked that. Only now Minnie sings along with it too. She may be a lovely mouse, but she cant really sing.
The place looked bright and fresh
with lots of flowers around.
We decided to make POTC our first ride a 30 minute wait but that was to be expected at 1.45 in the afternoon. We were hungry now and decided to go for our lunch in RFC followed by our first of many trips to the Disney Store. I bought Dtr a black Mickey hoody, on condition that she threw away the fluffy pink one she had with her horrid old thing. I bought a Pooh handbag. We got our luggage and caught the bus to the Magic Circus Hotel. This seemed to be little changed from when it was the Holiday Inn.
After unpacking we caught the bus back to the Park and were strolling down passed Plaza Gardens when Dtr spotted the Small World family sitting outside enjoying an ice cream. We joined them for a little chat .nearly an hour later we were still there! Dtr hadnt yet paused for breath either.
Eventually we went off to do a few rides, starting with Phantom Manor. We bypassed BTM as that was still showing a wait of 45 minutes. We went on Snow White and IASW with very little queue in fact Fantasyland was looking very empty.
We found Pirates was a walk-on and we were allowed to go round twice. It was now 9.15 and the Park was shutting so we strolled down Main Street and then diverted into the Disneyland Hotel for a cocktail in Café Fantasia. Who should we see sitting outside but Small World and family so we joined them once more and nibbled, drank and chatted away some more time. They were staying at the hotel next to ours so we caught the same bus home. Dtr and I were asleep very very quickly.
