How about start at the West coast, hit Hawaii, Cook Islands and then Down Under? Airfare might be cheaper, at least to the west coast.:rotfl:

That is good news to hear that she is doing ok.

Hope you have a great time tomorrow. Doing anything special tomorrow?

Tomorrow my plan is to hit the new special lounge for the first time. (wink wink) We will perhaps have some small plates, if Fran likes any. I will probably have some drinks. I hope to go to Ghiradelli for dessert, and then hit the sack. The special stuff is Thursday. I hope to get some FPs for RSR, but Fran has to go back to Los Alamitos at 1PM for her infusion, she said that I could hang out and go to the pool, maybe I'll hit the lounge and the pool, we'll see. We have a dinner Thursday night, so I'll want to rest up.

Good check in Alison. Have fun at the land.

Thanks! As long as there is not drama we should have a fun time!

Have a great trip Alison! Usuz, you should check out the restaurant forum, there's a subforum on the dining plan. There is always lots of info & opinions there. I don't know the other thread you're gonna post on, but I have used the dining plan for several years if I can answer any questions for you.

Thanks Focus! Usnuz you need to think about the DDP carefully, Chris might be able to eat enough, but I'm not sure you can eat up to the challenge.

Just looking to see if it is really worth it. I think we had it when they first started out with. Now they have choices.

Check it out carefully because you need to be able to eat an entire TS entree and dessert every night, plus a CS entree with dessert and a snack. If you do the Quick service plan that is two entire quick service entrees (including dessert) with a snack. I'm sure you guys don't want the DxDDP which is 3 TS credits per day.

Personally I am not a fan of the dining plan because if you want an appetizer as your entree, nix, but I'll go over to the gamers meet thread because I tried to post there from my phone earlier today and timed out. I like the timing that was posted more recently of the after October 1 as opposed to the late september stuff.

Have a great time.. We are looking at the menus, and it all depends on where we want to eat all together as well...;)

That's great that you and Fran are going to try the CCL. Can't wait to hear about your experience at CCL. Hope you two have a great time tomorrow.

Today was short for work, because my MIL is not available to watch the kids on Tues. I was working from home today and it is a lot harder to work from home with two kids. My monster headache came back. Crap's Grandpa had a seizure. He is in the hospital, so I do not know of my MIL can watch the kids tomorrow. It was also my SFIL's birthday. Thank goodness these people know me or I would have already been fired.

I miss you too Jo. I was telling Crap I do not know how so many people make time for full time jobs, family, DIS and everything else. Just to get from here to my MILs to the office takes 1.25-1.5 hours (depending on traffic) each way. Even though I am working part time, I still leave in the morning and get home in the evening. I try to do as much as I can in the morning with bathing the kids, picking up the house, etc because I am exhausted at night! Connor still wakes up multiple times every night to nurse.

I'm not sure what the CCL is but please let me know and I will let you know if I go there.

Kim, Your experience sounds awful, I hope you get it sorted out, I would never want to have to experience anything like that. I'm sorry for what you're going through!

Carthay Circle Lounge at the Carthay Circle Theater. I always forget that you don't like it when I use acronyms. Are you and Fran going to the Carthay Circle Lounge? I would guess that it is the Carthay Circle Lounge since it just opened and you will be at DCA that day.

I didn't go see Arline today, but her relatives did and they said she was doing OK. Tomorrow we have a conference with the facility about how her care will proceed.

Don't you know that's how the business world works? The reward for doing a good job is more work, and don't for get the other one. The one who doesn't show up for the meeting gets assisnged the project! :rotfl2:

I turn up to meetings AND get the projects!

I was hoping to descend back under the radar this week. Looks like it isn't going to happen for the next 2 weeks. But at least I've put a stop to the working pro-bono on Mondays and Thursdays for now.

Enjoy your days at DLR.

I'll meet you all when you get Down Under. :thumbsup2

 Hope you feel better and that Crap's Grandpa is recovering.

Usnuz - the DP is worth it IF you normally eat the amount of food that is served up. And if you plan beforehand and maximise your order for the more expensive items on the list. We did have the QSDP in May 2010 and I did come home to total up the food if I had paid OOP. On the QS, we saved 20%. However, it was a LOT of food - and DH and I rarely eat that much dessert.
We also went OOP for the second part of the trip. We had 2 TS meals in this part of the trip. We ate more along the lines of what our normal meals would have been like. I came back thinking that it was borderline benefit being OOP compared to being on a DP. I suspect that if we had 3 TS meals, we would been much better on the DP.

I think the benefit of the DP is that you know that you have prepaid for your meals; rather than having to feel like you're paying more money when you get there. I guess you could buy Disney Gift Cards if you wanted to feel like you have prepaid.
