The old Zip lock packing tip, how do you do it?

So, rolling AND Ziploc works ok?


I'm hoping Ziploc goes on sale soon!

I roll if I have dirty clothes coming home (usually pretty much everything has been washed though) but for the way there I fold everything put it in the ziplock and sit on it.

The good news is the ziplocks are reusable. I usually get a couple of trips out of them before they no longer stay ziplockable

My mother gave up with that idea of individual bags, etc., per outfit when I went to 4-H camp as a kid in the mid-60s. We then did it for my son's camping trips, especially summer camp as a scout. Of course the bag designs have improved over the years and I realized how much more you can pack by "squeezing" the air out. It's just a great way to keep outfits sorted, both dirty and clean.

I think the rolling is good for wrinkles & space, but the ziplocks are for wrinkles, space, and organizations


I like being able to pull out a bag and have an outfit in it...


Walmart the bags pretty inexpensively... or may costco, bjs if you need alot.

Yes, you can roll the clothes and THEN put them in the ziploc if you want. I do this sometimes when they don't fold nicely into the size of bag I have.
Of course now that they have the new bigger size bags, this wouldn't be as much of a problem.

And it really does keep clothes less wrinkled - once you have your clothing folded and in the bag - it STAYS how you folded it - the clothes don't move around and rub against each other in your suitcases.

Our last trip we went for 2 weeks. I managed to pack 2 weeks worth of clothes for DD in her little suitcase, along with some toys & books.
