16 days!

Hoping to get my laminated ADR cards made today, and maybe start the packing process.. I have to keep it a secret from my inquisitive 5 year old, so I have to be in stealth mode! I want to tell him we're going soooooo bad, but the surprised look on his face will be worth the wait. :goodvibes:

EDIT: I meant to ask - how in the world do the luggage tags work!? We got our Mickey Mail a couple weeks ago, and I can't figure out how you fasten those things to luggage...? lol

Laminated ADR cards? Do you have pictures? I need to occupy myself!

It looks like you got the answer you needed about the ADR cards, otherwise I'm pretty sure there's a You Tube video.

We drove down and back from CT in June, it was not fun. We went straight through on the way down and stopped overnight in NC on the way home. I also drove down in January, my son moved down to Orlando so him and I drove his car down. We are flying this time so much easier and quicker.

Happy Anniversary! Our 25th is next year, hubby wants to go on a cruise or to Ireland. I guess no Disney next September (I go every Sept with my son).

Happy anniversary!

We are driving too, a little over 1K miles each way. I'm not worried about the drive there, but the drive back, with five kids in the van, well, I'm sure it will be okay, and if we need to break it up into two hotel nights on the road instead of one, so be it.

I don't mind road trips, now that we are out of the nursling and car sick toddler stages. I just did an eight hour drive (each way) with three of the kids to spend two days with friends, so I know we can hack a large chunk of driving without issue, and we have driven 20 hours to vacation destinations before.

19 days until we hit the road! :drive:pixiedust:

My mom called me a short time ago and hers came today which means I'm hoping mine's in the mail when I get home...
Now for the day to move a little faster......:)

She had me cracking up because she was referring to the luggage tags when she asked if she was going to have to wear that the whole time we were there - maybe I should've told her yes - pin it to your shirt everyday :rotfl2:
I was a nice daughter though and explained what they are :)

Hubby refuses to fly. We will stay over one night. I'm the one that gets cranky. The ride down isn't bad. I hate the drive back home.

Thank-you.
Good luck driving

Kudos to all of you who drive...I can't hack driving. Besides, I only get a few days away from the ranch each year, and I don't want to waste them in a car. Have a safe trip on the road...

We drive everywhere...flying is a treat for me. Flying with me this year are my SIL, niece, nephew, and my daughter's BF. All have NEVER flown. Lol.

In our house it is opposite. It is one thing I'm happy about having kids, so I can have a few drinks. I am afraid of flying, but my husband prefers it, mostly because he ends up with the late shift of the drive, therefore leaving mil and myself nice and ready and him ready for sleep.
