December 11 for our first time to the world at Christmas! We can't wait, but it is killing me not to tell the kids!

As of right now we are in for Nov 29th. Will be our 2nd MVMCP, first was in 2005. Can't wait!!! WOOO HOOOOOOO

Noticed in my earlier post I forgot to post the dates we intend to MVMCP!!! For sure on the 11th (dd's bday- this will be our 3rd yr in a row on the 11th!) and maybe again on the 13th (ds's bday!). Still deciding on whether we should do 2 as last year our 2nd night it rained and many things didnt happen (14th).

Does anyone know which MVMCP's will offer the discount to DVC Members? We will be there Nov. 25-30, and will be doing our first MVMCP sometime that week!

That info won't be released till Disney releases the ticket info and last year that wasn't until April 17.

Last year the discount was only offered on: 11/13, 11/17, 11/28 and 12/14. Maybe you'll be luck that one will fall doing your week!

We will be there for sure on Nov. 13 and possibly Nov. 15 also :) Can't wait!!!

ATTENTION DINSEY FREAKS!!!!

If you ever been to MVMCP please share your experience, pros & cons, and if you have any--please post pictures. I just need the addiction. I have to get hyped up for our trip.

I'd love to see pictures or hear more about MVMCP too since this will be our first visit :)

But haven't picked our dates for the party yet.

We will be there December 2 -12. I imagine we will go at least twice.

Do you think my dh would agree to go to every party while we are there? :rotfl:

:santa: :woohoo:

Come on everyone!!!! Someone had to have been to MVMCP and has a great story or two.

DW and I went to MVMCP last December. We went on Tuesday the 12th. We first had dinner at the California Grill (and got to watch Wishes from the platform, after eating our appetizers!). After we finished dinner, we rode the monorail back to MK, went through security, used our MVMCP tickets to get in, and then got our wrist bands.

When we arrived, the party was already going. Crowds were moderate on Main Street USA as people waited for the parade. We headed through the shops as far as we could, then wove our way through the crowds and over to the tables by the old swan boat launch platform to gaze at the castle and the snowflakes falling down its sides. An announcement began that thanked everyone for being at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, then there were Christmas Carols. It was very, very Christmassy and wonderful! We stood there enjoying the moment, soaking it all in.

Later, rather than watch the parade, we toured Tomorrowland, enjoying the near-total lack of lines. When we were done, we came out of whatever was our latest ride, and Holiday Wishes was just starting! Magical timing! :cloud9: We watched it from between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, and really enjoyed it when the fireworks seemed to zoom right over our heads!

I don't recall what else we did that night, but on our way out, we stopped on the path off to the east of the castle, and watched the snowflakes fall some more.

As we exited the park, it was snowing on Main Street, USA. As northerners, we're used to snow, but this stuff looked pretty magical!

That was the end of a long day for us. We'd gotten up at 6 AM so we could get to our pre-opening ADR at Crystal Palace, toured MK, had lunch, toured MK some more, went parasailing, toured MK still more, had dinner at California Grill, then went to MVMCP. We were dog tired on the ride back to the Lodge, but it was all well worth it!

On Friday of that week, I tried to get tickets to that night's MVMCP, but they were completely sold out. And from folks who were there that night, I understand it was pretty packed. Still, I was a bit bummed that I hadn't planned ahead and gotten tickets well in advance.

And that's why we plan to go to MVMCP twice on our upcoming trip. Once just wasn't enough last trip! And this time, I'm getting the tickets well in advance. :)
