Poor Flora....

Today I was to pick up Flora from the Disneyland hotel as she was left there by a previous Dis-er FHS Chick. When I arrived at the front desk, I was told she was not there and to go check at Bell Services. Bell Services CM shook his head and told me, no Flora FockerCrocker was not there, either. The front desk called Lost and Found, no Flora there. With a heavy heart, I left the hotel empty handed.
I joined my family at ESPN for lunch. I could hardly eat. I was feeling empty and guilty. You see, I was supposed to pick up Flora on Thursday, but my little tyke came down with a bad case of intestinal bacteria. He was very ill and I could not drag him to Dland hotel in his condition.
Where could Flora be? Is she lost? Is she scared? Has she been croc-napped? I called FHS Chick and left her a message to please call the hotel and locate Flora and I will go back and pick her up.
When we finished lunch, I could not leave DTD without finding Flora. How could I return to the DIS and explain Flora's DISappearance? Would I be shunned from the FOCKMUNITY?
I decided to drown my sorrows with a chocolate covered pretzel from Marcelines. DH said we had to leave now, even though FHS Chick had not called me back. I decided one last try. I went down to Lost and Found myself. I was going to tear that place up, looking for my Flora. I was stopped by the L&F CM. I told her exactly who I was looking for. She looked me straight in the face and said, "Oh, yes, I have her right here!" Low and behold, Flora was chillin' with a lost Minnie Mouse and a lost Stitch. I snatched her from L&F CM and hugged her until DH told me I was embarrasing him.
I am happy to announce, Flora is home safe and sound with me. Well, until tomorrow, that is. I'm sending her to POP to join her next family!

I think Disneyland_Mama deserves a big round of applause for pushing beyond the limits in her rescue operation for Flora! (WHY isn't there a clapping smiley??)

I've been worried that one of our Crockers might wander off and get lost. Good to know the Focker Team will stop at nothing to get our mascots back!

SORRY I DIDN'T CALL BACK!!! I was on my way to work and I was on base and they really shun the talking on your phone while driving... so on my break (because I was running late before work... I wasn't ready to get out of vacation mode!) I called the Hotel and they said that if she wasn't picked up in a certain amount of time they get rid of "packages" I told her Flora was not a "package" she was a croc who had feelings and I was very sad. so then they continued to tell me that they will only hold things for a week and I then had to explain that I dropped it off THURSDAY night!! thursday to sunday is NOT a week... these people.... so then she tells me that Flora may be in the lost and found. I told her to transfer me! I needed to know that Flora was ok!! so when the person picked up in lost and found I described EVERYTHING in the package to her and she said someone already picked her up!! what could Flora think of me?? I left her and she gotted thrown in the lost and found!! by that time I was HOPING that DLMAMA had picked her up and no one croc napped her. then later I get a call saying that she did pick her up and all is well... but I hope Flora doesn't hate us!! we were a good family!! just bad hotel service!!! I LOVE YOU FLORA!!!! DON'T BE MAD AT US!!!

Having pulled an all nighter Sunday at MK, Monday was a sleep late, hang out kinda day, with a visit to downtown Orlando to meet up with some friends. Had to conserve energy for my BIG FAT Tuesday!


The fam, conveniently staying at Port Orleans- the ONLY place to be for Mardi Gras- came prepared for the annual CM parade. (a first for all of us) So we got dolled up in our purple, green and gold beads, practiced yelling, "throw me something, mistuh!" and strolled along the Sassagoula (DFM reminiscing, wistfully-" it's the most beautiful walk in the World") to FQ. Along the way, we met fair Sarah, who was quite taken with my greenish charm:

Next stop, that crazy restaurant, the Floatworks, with all the funky parade gear. When in Rome, have a snack- BEIGNETS!!! Gimme some decent cafe au lait and I am so in N'awlins, jiving and noshing at Cafe du Monde.

With plenty of time yet, we strolled Rue De Baga (that slays me) and Cake Walk. We bumped into my 3rd cousins, once-removed. Introductions all around and some jamming. Seems musical talent runs in the family:

This dude and I played Make Me Laugh. I won by finding a ticklish spot.

After dancing our way back upriver, we stopped at the Steamboat Co. to watch the boats and chat with some visitors from Virginia who were stoked to meet me. I tipped them about the DIS, which they had never heard of (??). Just in case you have tuned in, a shout out to MISTY!... they were on the DDP and had untouched desserts that they offered us. Pecan pie, yum!

With a little time to kill yet, I offered to entertain by piloting a Boston Whaler. I'm a natural in the water. Captain Fred Focker, at your service. Full speed ahead!

We took turns as lookouts for the red canopies, just in case there was some rule about my species driving.

Now here's a little something most y'all have probably never seen at WDW. The CM Pargo parade! Following established MG protocol, I yelled, Throw me something, mistuh! and got some doubloons and candy for my efforts. (no frilly undergarments were thrown, this being Disney and all) The floats rock,no? Gotta love those pirates -although the crows nest on the "boat" was getting pretty banged up from going under bridges. Of course, I got into the action.

I posted this in the original Focker thread, but thought I'd bring it over here, too, since I'll be traveling with Fritzie!

I know I asked a while back if anyone was interested in an early May Focker meet, but my trip got all changed around and I haven't known which way was up for some time!

I'll now be joining some non-DIS folks for our trip, so I won't have as many opportunities to meet up, but thought I'd throw my itinerary out there and see if we have any matches. Here goes....

I am so excited a focker will be there the same time as me. I am missing the "big gathering" on the 26th Apr and didnt think anyone else was going to be around. I have to look over our schedule, but I do know are dates are 4/29-5/4. Off the top of my head I think we are at Epcot 5/3 and MK 5/4(flt doesnt leave till 7pm). Let me check for sure and maybe we can have a brief meeting to fock each other.I will have Flora so she and Fritzie can have a brief family reunion. Can I assume "Leo" will be with you as I have a 4 and 1 yo. I know it will be a brief focking but the kiddies would think its fun to meet other focker kids.

Yay!! Just another nice part of DISers using the same resources (TGM, UG) - we tend to wind up in the same places on the same days!

I'm sure we can come up with something! I'm working on the touring plans now, so I'll have a better idea of where we'll be at any given time soon(ish).

Poor Stephanie! I guess we were both worried sick about Flora!! Everything turned out fine and Flora had a nice "visit" with lost Minnie & Stitch.
