The "Official" June 2013 Thread

6/4 - 6/10 staying at the AKL.

Taking my great Niece (she will be 8 at trip time) and this will be her first visit.

Our biggest issue is that we are noe the proud owners of an 10 needle embroidery machine and we have so many outfits we want to make for her, that she may have to change more then twice a day!

:rotfl2:

We will be at CBR June 1st-8th. We've always gone in spring before, but spring break falls the week of Easter this year, and we just didn't want to do that. A little nervous about the weather being hotter this trip.....

We'll be there June 7th thru June 14th...our first park day will be the 8th...We're staying offsite...bummer for me because I wanted to stay onsite since this is our first trip but we had an offer we just couldn't refuse...I'm super duper excited either way :)

I *JUST* put down the initial deposit for our visit! We'll be staying at POP June 3-11.

It's our 2nd visit to POP, and we're excited because we're trying out the DDP for the first time!

:D

I just booked today too!!! But at Coronado Springs June 15-24 ...YAAAAY!!

June 11-19. Crestwynd Bay. A first trip for DS (3yo). Party of 5 spending some quality time before sending our oldest DS off to college. HS graduation, college, and still managed to squeeze a Disney trip in there. Excited!!

We are going June 3-7 . This is our first "true" trip to Disney. As it we went Christmas 2011 for 2 days- and one day in March 2012. We are staying on site for the first time at the Movie Resort and have two kiddos DD 3 and DS 5. We will be celebrating both of their birthdays. DD turns 4 in May and DS turns 6 in July. Dates are right in the middle so it seems fair. Super excited and Can't wait! :)

I posted before, we will be there June 4-June 11 and are staying at Pop Century. Just wondering about the weather, I know it will be hot, it was really hot when we were there in May but, I am more worried about the rain.

June is the rainiest month in Orlando. Is it really wet at the beginning of June?

We will be at Pop June 4 - June 11! We will be there at the same time! Fun, fun!!!

We are looking for a group of two or three to share a June 3rd Illuminations Cruise.

We'll be at POFQ June 3 - 8. This is our first trip back in 5 years. Super excited!

Not as wet as later in the month, but you can probably count on a quick shower almost every afternoon. They come and go pretty fast, though, which is why most people carry ponchos and soldier through. By the time you got back to your hotel, the rain would likely be over! :headache:

Don't worry about the rain. In June you'll have the quick afternoon shower and that's about it. They last about 15-30 minutes and then they're gone. I keep a few $1 rain ponchos in my bag and I throw one on to stay dry (I hate, hate, hate walking around in wet clothing -- the rest of my family doesn't seem to mind though and refuse to wear ponchos) or we head to an indoor attraction.

We've been to Disney in June three times in the last 11 years and other than the brief afternoon shower most days, we've only had one day (out of 21) have more than a brief rain shower. However, in 2009 we decided to go in May because it would be a little cooler *and* there was even less of a chance of rain. That week is now referred to as Monsoon Week. We got over a foot of rain while we were there. It rained for hours and hours on end every. single. day. We bought Mickey rain ponchos (best investment we made that week) and headed out to the parks every day. The rain kept the crowds low and lines were short. We still had a great trip that year.

My advice is simply make sure that every one has 2 pair of good park shoes so that you can wear the dry pair while the wet ones air out. And don't worry about the rain. :)

We actually welcomed the rain last June during the four days we were there! Let me tell you - it did wonders for clearing out the park when the showers hit later in the evening and if they were earlier in the day it helped cool the parks down for a little while - not too long as the humidity shot up but that half hour after the shower was quite nice...

visit your local store before you go and like others have mentioned pick up a few $1 disposable ponchos. They're compact enough to put in a bag and save you from spending $8 for the ones sold at the park. Sometimes the showers don't pass quickly enough especially when you HAVE to get somewhere and don't have a choice but to brave through them. Those dinky plastic sheets come in handy and you can toss them afterwards.

I'm no longer going to Disneyworld in June. So I need someone to take over the list. I don't think I turn the thread over to anyone else but you could copy/paste the list to your new thread and keep it going there. Anyone can still join the FB group. I left two wonderful ladies as the Admins. Please someone take over the list, I just can't continue to do it and I'm no longer going. Thanks

Please add us to the list. We will be there June 14-21. There will be 11 family members and we are staying at Star Island Resort. It has been 5 years since our last trip to Disney World and we are very excited. Our first time to stay off property but I could not pass up the unbelievable deal I got so we are going to give it a try.

We will be in the WORLD June 6-16 at POR :) I'm super excited because our kids have no idea that we are going! SWW here we come!! :cheer2:

How did I not find this thread before today!?!? Count us in! June 8-13 at POR :cheer2::cheer2:
