*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

I love seeing all the educators on this thread! My wife and I are both educators as well (Montessori early childhood) - props to all the teachers and admin here :)

We just paid everything off! woohoo

Awesome!!! I can't wait to be able to say this too lol

We don't have a lot of head liners on our must do list. My plan now is to do them all in the morning and after are break do the ones with lower wait time. that way we can take it easier during the hottest most crowded time of day. I'm going to have to keep tabs son what happends in May and June.

Same here, I'm waiting for a few people to post some reviews about it. But I think I'm going to go ahead and switch our fast passes to earlier am times now.

Just book my trip for the July 23 to July 29 at PRFQ

Welcome! We'll be at riverside during part of your stay!

Just book my trip for the July 23 to July 29 at PRFQ

:welcome: to our HOT thread!!! Settle in and join in as you feel comfortable. I will add you to the front page and if you share any other information, I will add those. We have a special post for ADR's and one for Touring plans. (#'s 577 and 579 on page 39 of this thread). If you are interested in meeting other Disers, some of us have started working on setting those up as well.

My wife and I haven't actually done any Disney meet ups, but we're looking forward to it this trip :) Our plans are pretty open on the 20th too, we only have a dinner ADR at 7:50 and we're planning to get to the park around the same time as you (so that we're not falling asleep by the evening EMH). We're pretty low key - would be happy to meet over lunch, drinks, a dole whip cone (can you believe I've never had it in 10+ WDW trips?) or wherever. What would work best for you guys?

Feel free to PM me if you prefer :)

You WHAT???:scared1: Just kidding. I don't get them very often even though I love pineapple. But DH MUST have one on every trip so it is on our to do list. The kids and I will get something also. We figure with our feeding schedule that somewhere from 1-2pm would work well for us, how 'bout you? Does that sound good to you guys?

I am open to doing a small group meet too. Like if more of us will be in MK on the same day and want to meet at the same time and location. Would you be OK with that?

I'm sorry, but for some reason the term "feeding schedule" has me cracking up, haha! It sounds like you're bringing a petting zoo with you ;) ;)

Another teacher here...big kids. High school English Language Arts and I love it. I'm actually getting ready to chaperone the prom tonight.

I am a teacher also and so is my DH. We found that summer is the easiest time to go, but we do sneak in fall trips when we can.

I'm actually really allergic to pineapple so not sure about the Dole Whip this time either. :) My wife will enjoy one though! I think 1-2 pm would work out well also!

If more people want to meet, that's great. The more the merrier!

I cracked up too! Lol! I was thinking petting zoo or daycare! ;-)

Well, with the DH, DS (15yr) and DD(almost 12 and a gymnast whose metabolism is ridiculous) it is like having 3 infants at times. Someone is ALWAYS looking for food at our house. I am 5'0" and "pooh sized" and I eat the least in our house. :scared1: Apparently there is never enough food for them and "nothing to eat". So, we have to eat in increments. I don't even know how we will work it well this time because we are only eating 2 meals per day this trip. I will admit that it sounds funny, but it is SOOOO true!!! :lmao::rotfl2:

Well then, that makes perfect sense that you have never had it before! But at least they have coke and root beer floats and such. I have never had a full scale dole whip, I always chicken out and get it mixed when I get one. They have that little sitting area right by the stand we can set as our meet place and go from there and just set an exact time later.

Fastpasses booked. yay!

The only thing I found odd is that I HAD to choose 3. Of course this isn't a problem for most days. But, we have a down day where we are going to Fantasmic at night. I don't need 3 FPs that day. It seemed silly to me. :confused3

I thought the same thing when this whole concept came out. I thought they should do like the dining plan and say, for example, if you have 4 people in your group, 3 FP+ per night, 7 nights = you'd get 84 FP+ for your entire stay to use as you see fit (within the limits of the tiering and no park hopping.) I guess the problem with that would be that people might use most of them in MK, thus creating horrible lines there.

It would be nice if they would group them together more like what you said. I never thought about that as an option. But I guess you're right also, in that people would use them all for one park or something. Maybe it would be a little better if they went by your number of days on the ticket rather than the number of nights you're staying. For example, we're staying 10 nights but only going to the parks 7 days. Maybe they would give 3 per person per ticket day, meaning 21 per person in my party. That would be awesome!

I wish they would get rid of the tiering at Epcot and DHS.

Anyone know how the additional passes will work with the tiering?

Mmm, root beer floats! Sounds like a plan - looking forward to it!

I read (on a link posted in the FP+ thread) that once you've used your 3 and start booking new FPs you can revisit a previously ridden ride and you can go on additional tier 1 rides. What I'm wondering is, can you keep doing that? For example, if you had an initial FP for Toy Story, used both of your other pre booked ones, and then booked a fourth for Toy Story...once you used the fourth one could you book another one for Toy Story? (Assuming it would even be available.)

I think you hit the nail on the head....it's going to be "if" things are available. I would assume that it will be like fast pass - in that passes will be gone for major attractions very early in the day (TSMM for example). This will probably make more people grab fast passes for rides like Great Movie Ride or Muppet Vision masking those stand by lines longer. Guess will see as people start reporting back.

Glad they are allowing for more flexibility, but wish we could schedule from the app instead of heading to a kiosk.
