The official "I have no clever title" trip report-NEW UPDATE PG.#3!

This trip sounds so fun!! I love the pictures!!

Trip sounds great so far can't wait to see the pics of Albert meeting Mickey he is Sooo cute!!!! LOVE the bath one gotta be all clean for Mickey :rotfl:.

Wowie!!!:banana: Having a wonderful time! Touring the parks with the little one leaves little time for trip updates. I'll do a more in depth report upon our return home.
We have enjoyed MK Epcot AK and heading back to Epcot today. The parks are much busier than I have ever experienced. Having said that, we usually visit in February, October or November. Also, have yet to make it to a park opening because of Albie. So, our touring is much slower than normal but the smaller magical moments are greater because of Albie so I wouldn't change a darn thing!
Holding him and watching Wishes last night was truly Magical! :lovestruc

The weather is much better than last week in Clearwater/Tampa. Today may reach 80. Albie may go in a pool for the first time!!!!!!

Off to Epcot!

OMG! I totally teared up with the story from the Holocaust Museum. :sad2:

But the rest of your report is wonderful... I cannot wait to see pics of Albie with Mickey! :cool1:

We returned home around 10:00pm last night and quickly went to bed. We were exhausted. One of our bags is in Omaha, Nebraska according to Southwest this morning. Hopefully it will appear at some point at our door in the next 24 hours. All of Albert's clothes, toys and almost all of our souvenirs are in there, so I hope it shows up!

Unpacking this morning and going to pick up all our furbabies! I'll try to update my actual trip report tonight! Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Saturday 3/6/10

After a very long, mostly sleepless night in the Days Inn at Satellite Beach, we stretched our weary bones and flew our butts out of that nasty motel room! :scared1:

We drove straight to Orlando and stopped at the Super Target to stock up on essentials and some yummy snacks. I find it hilarious that the Super Target in Orlando is even more exciting than my Target at home. The amount of Disney swag is incredible. I was able to refrain from purchasing anything there since I knew I would have ample merchandise to choose from in actual Disneyworld.

A quick Starbucks stop and a phone call from the family (Bubbe/Joni, Papa/Rob and Uncle Gordon/Gordie) saying they had arrived in Orlando safe and sound and they would see us at Kidani Village at Noon!

We arrived at Kidani Village uneventfully. My first impession was WOW-love it! I think the outside and the inside of the lobby is awesome. I really felt like I was in Jambo House but just a smaller scale. Impressed! :goodvibes

After a quick stroll around the lobby and a relaxing sit in the savannah viewing area, the family arrived. Check in went quickly and efficiently. They already had Albert's 1st trip pin and Bubbe's birthday pin waiting. It was just around Noon and our room was ready for us. :thumbsup2 We were staying in a 2 bedroom villa-thank you Bubbe and Papa!!!! Amy and I had the second bedroom-it was so nice to have our own bathroom. The room is very spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone. Gordie even had his own bathroom!

After we threw our clothes in our drawers and set up the portable crib, we quickly left for the Magic Kingdom!

We arrived right when the afternoon parade was ending and just saw the last couple floats pass by.......fun way to start the trip!

It was time for Albie's big moment-his first haircut! We waited about 5 to 10 minutes and it was his turn. Our barber was excellent! He was very gentle and quiet with Albert while we got him set up in the barber's chair. Lots of mickey stickers and giggles and then it was time to cut!
Surprisingly, Albert was great during the haircut-not a single peep. At one point the barber leaned over and whispered something in his ear, I don't know what he said but Albert thought it was funny.

Next was our first ride, Pirates! We always ride Pirates first.

Amy and I in the Pirates queue. 30 minute wait so we had time for some silliness!

Albie sleeping on Papa's shoulders-that haircut was too much too handle! :)

After Pirates, we headed to Tomorrowland. SM was 90 minute wait so we opted for a quick spin on the TTA! I love this ride-it is a no thrill but so relaxing and I love to get a look at all of Tomorrowland.

We had a 6:00p.m. ADR for Boma so we headed out of the park. We made a quick stop for some brownies from the Main Street Bakery for munching on later.

DSC02650.JPG

Wow Mommies you guys were right-the Magic Kingdom is the best place on Earth!

We had a bit of a wait for our ADR at Boma so we explored the Jambo House a bit. I love it there! It is a special place for Amy and I, we spent our Honeymoon there in 2001. Dinner at Boma was fabulous as usual. I had too much Babootie and yummo Kenyan pressed coffee so we had a very full and caffeinated Tinkerchelle back at the room that night!:rotfl: I was very glad that Bubbe and Papa enjoyed this meal-even Gordon (the pickiest eater!) enjoyed some chicken nuggets.

Albie ended up sleeping with Amy and I because apparently Disneyworld is too cool to sleep alone! Therefore, this was the little man's expectation for the remainder of our trip. I know......I know.....I'm a sucker.

So cool! Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Is that barber Michael? What a nice guy!

Sounds like you had a great time!!! I love the video!!! Thanks for sharing!

I think the first hair cut in MK is awesome! We plan to have Ellie's first hair cut there when she's ready.

Thanks for the video! It sounds like yinz had a great time! I can't wait to hear more!

Michael is a great barber! ::yes:: He's cut hair in our family any number of times! :teeth:

Your trip report is great. Nice to know things are going well for the most part. ::yes::

Sunday 3/7/10

Animal Kingdom day!! :cool1:
We arrived and had some fun photopass photos taken at the entrance and at the greatest view in Disney World-the Tree of Life! I am a huge AK lover!! I could stroll around it all day without fun attractions and still be happy.
We quickly ran to get our FPs for our Yeti adventure. Actually, I think Papa ran for all of us and the rest of us spent time exploring the ToL. Thanks Papa!:rotfl:
After our exploration we caught up with Papa and strolled around enjoying some of the animal exhibits along Discovery Island, did a little shopping and then it was time for lunch!
Bubbe, Papa and Uncle Gordie headed to the Rainforest Cafe and Amy, Albie and I headed off to Yak & Yeti.

My delish lunch. The shrimp tempura was really good.
I had read many negative reviews of the restaurant and wasn't too keen on eating there but Amy really wanted to give it a try and I am glad we did. We had a great meal. I would note that they seemed to seat families with small children in the same room. Apparently, we are all in the same club or something. :lmao: Unfortunately, I felt like the room we were seated in was not as well themed as the rest of the restaurant. But we would definitely eat there again.

After lunch we strolled to KS for Albert's first safari! :goodvibes We stopped along the way to check out who was currently in Camp Minnie Mickey. Maybe Albert was going to meet his hero!!:cloud9:

As you can see, it was nap time. :rotfl2:

We arrived at KS before the rest of our group so we chilled in the shade and enjoyed the sights. Did I mention I LOVE this park? :goodvibes I could sit and stare at the ToL all day-I love the viewing spot between Africa and Asia. The best place!

Is it time for my safari, Mommy?

The rest of the family arrived and we headed to our Safari!

Albie & Uncle Gordie shenanigans!:rotfl:

Wow, this safari is bumpy!

Next was our Everest Adventure. We rode 3 times!!! Love baby swap and single rider line!

Wow, where did the day go? Time for the parade. :cloud9: IMHO, best parade in all of WDW. Here's a snippet:

Back to Everest to quench Uncle Gordie's ever growing Coaster thrist! :rotfl: Quick run to Dinosaur the park is about to close! :scared1:
Made it and even time for a baby swap!

We headed back to the room for a break and to get ready for dinner at California Grill.

Evening of 3/7/10

Dinner at California Grill. As always, the staff was wonderful, our table perfect, the view incredible and food yummo! We arrived just in time for Wishes and here is a little taste:

Albert's first viewing of fireworks! Wishes!

After a great viewing of wishes, we enjoyed our awesome meal. When our appetites were sasatiated everyonebut Gordie and me returned to AKL. We enjoyed EMH at MK that night. The park was open until 1:00a.m. We rode SM 3 or 4 times, TTA, Dumbo, HM. Sadly, BTMRR was closed because someone stood up on the ride and they had to close it for safety reasons! :scared1: I also made Gordie shop on Main Street so I could get a new sweatshirt. It was FREEZING!

Around 1:00a.m. we headed to Casey's for a hot dog and sodas. I was hungry again already! We sat out front and watched and listened to the Kiss Goodnight! :cloud9: Me and my Gordie having a Magical Moment!
