The Official GLEE thread

It was Madonna. I had to google the lyrics and I was so surprised to find out it was by her. The lyrics are so ridiculous!

I think it was a combination of songs -- some of the lyrics were from "On the Town" from the movie of the same name with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Ann Miller. It was made in 1949.

And I loved the two Gershwin songs!

It was a mashup, I  Gene Kelly and "On The Town" is one of my favorites. I wasn't familiar with the Madonna song at all and I agree her lyrics are a bit ridiculous but I kinda liked the mashup.

The Glee Live show is tonight here in Indianapolis! I'm all ready to go and will have a full report when I get back (well maybe tomorrow since it'll be a late night :thumbsup2 )

We saw it last night and it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit short though, about an hour and 20 minutes, but amazing. My only one complaint was one song that they didn't do, but oh well, I'll get over it LOL.

I'm going Saturday...can't wait!!!

Anyone else going to the Boston show Tuesday? I'm making shirts with my sister tomorrow. Very excited!

I just watched an old episode of Glee, and I must say that the Glee rendition of Salt n' Pepper's "Push it" is still one of my favorite moment's in the history of the show.

Saw the Glee concert last night at the Nassau Coliseum, one of the worst venues ever. The show was good, but we were all the way up in the rafters, next to one of the spotlights. And these were supposed advanced sale tickets! The sound was terrible and we couldn't hear any of the dialogue, however, the performances were great. One pleasant surprise was the intro act was provided by the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, including SYTYCD alumni Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss and Legacy Perez. Also, Courtney Galiano was one of the backup dancers.

Ok, an hour later. Followed that link and saw the mini Warbler video. Little 4? year old boy that knows all the choreography that Blaine does. You have to look it up!

Have you guys read the article with Corey Monteith in Parade magazine? I had no idea he had troubles as a teen. It's good to see he turned his life around...

Cory Monteith Reveals His “Out of Control” Drug Past

“I’m lucky to be alive,” says Cory Monteith in a revealing interviewing with Parade.

The “Glee” star opens up about his troubled, drug-riddled past.

By the time Monteith, who grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, was 13, he was skipping school to get drunk and high. And by the age of 16, he had attended a dozen different schools for troubled teens before dropping out entirely.

“I was out of control,” admits Monteith, noting he used “anything and everything, as much as possible… I had a serious problem.”

Fearful that her son might die, Monteith’s mom staged an intervention when the actor was 19.

“That’s when I first went to rehab. I did the stint but then went back to doing exactly what I left off doing,” says Monteith.

He recalls he then “stole a significant amount of money from a family member… I knew I was going to get caught, but I was so desperate I didn’t care. It was a cry for help. I was confronted and I said, ‘Yeah, it was me.’ It was the first honorable, truthful thing that had come out of my mouth in years.”

It wasn’t the first time “things went missing,” says Monteith, but this time around his family told him to clean up or they’d call the cops.

“I finally said, ‘I’m gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I’m doing this.’”

After moving in with a family friend, quitting drugs and working as a roofer, Monteith started taking an acting class and received positive feedback. It was the first time he remembers “working hard and being good at something.”
And that’s why he now wants to share his past ordeal. “I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too,” says Monteith. “But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

This past spring, Monteith earned a high school diploma from a school in Victoria, British Columbia. Cory is a fantastic example of life being able to change for the better, no matter the situation.
