This is the official DVC GIFT CARD REFERRAL THREAD where DVC Members may post their desire to sponsor a new buyer in order for them to take advantage of this limited time offer. The Moderators of the DVC Boards have decided to allow postings of referrals for a limited time as both the New Buyer and the Current DVC Member will both receive compensation during this special promotion, rather than just the current member as is usually the case.

This thread will be the only place on the DIS where DVC referrals may be posted. Posting or alluding to the referrals elsewhere may result in Infractions being awarded. This will be a short term program, and thus the posting of the referrals will also be for a limited time only and only on this thread.

To be clear, this promotion provides New Buyers who have a referral from an existing DVC Member, the perk of a $500.00 VISA gift card upon completion of their DVC purchase (TBD, but after closing on the contract). The new buyers must purchase 160 or more points.

This promotion is also offered to Existing Members who desire to add on 100 points or more. They, too, receive a $500.00 gift card!

The referring member receives the regular Share The Magic award, per their state regulations.

New Members starting at 160 points and add ons for members starting at 100 points are eligible.

Resorts include SSR, AKV and Aulani only.

Promotion starts this Sunday January 9 and subject to end at any time

Purchases made at all DVC locations except for Tokyo. This includes the Doorway to Dreams location in Chicago and New York, too.

ONLY..Using an existing member's name/address as your referral, first time buyers are eligible for a $500. gift card upon contract closing on these Incentive prices:

SSR/THV normally $120. per pt., $20. discount, final price $100. per pt.
$2400. discount on 160 pt. purchase.

AK...normally $120. per pt., $20. discount, final price $100. per pt.
$2400. discount on 160 pt. purchase.

BLT...normally $130. per pt., $13. discount, final price $117. per pt.,
$2080. discount on 160 pts.

Aulani...normally $120. per pt., $14. discount, final price $106. per pt.

Let me jump on too! I've been a member since 2005. I joined while my DH was a CM (he's not anymore). I own at THREE homes and visit WDW 4-6 trips a year. I have a great guide. Even after being a member for 5 years she still continues to welcome me home during each trip. She's easy to talk to, returns all phone calls and just feels like a member of my family. What's the "Share the Magic Award?"

Current members who refer someone to DVC for purchase will receive an incentive reward if that person buys. The more referrals you have in one year, the higher the award, for a maximum of 5. Depending on the state where you live, you may or may not be eligible to receive the reward.

Right now, the Family and Friends Incentive also gives the buyer a $500 GC in addition to incentives being offered if they have the name of a current member.

So, all new buyers who call and meet the terms of the program will be given the GC and the referring member, if eligible, will be rewarded as well!!!

A win, win for everyone! It has been over a year, I think, since the last time the extra incentive for buyers was offered.
