Anyone else going in October 2016?

My daughter and I are taking a girl's only trip. We are planning on staying at AoA in a Little Mermaid room - both of us are very excited!

O.k editing this out because when I posted I realized this was for October 2016, our trip is going to be this October 2015. Oops.

We are going October 2016. Will by my DS7 and DD14 4th time and my DS6weeks 1st trip! He'll be around 18 months at that time. Little concerned with taking a baby but we excited about it at the same time. We went October 2014 and had a blast! Would love to stay at AoA. Maybe......Will have to check $$ and availability at the time.

Woohoo we are planning an October 2016 trip. No specific dates yet. Happy Planning!!

We are planning an October 2016 trip. Don't know our exact dates yet but my birthday is 10/2 so we want to be there for that :)

We're going.....not booked yet, but planning the last part of Oct.

I saw a few posts here and there for 2016 and February...but nothing official...so here it is!

It feels like I haven't been forever, but we ended 2014 in Downtown Disney and started our new year hanging out on the Boardwalk...plus I was able to chaperone ds16's band trip this past February and watched them march through Epcot!

Our last family trip was February/March 2014, so the boys and I are ready!

Post away!...

We will most likely start our trip at Universal for a day or two...then move over to WDW during Mardi Gras 2016 with the rest of the state! Updated my passporter for 2015, as well as my Birnbaum's and Unofficial Guides. And about a week or so ago, received our 2015 DVD to watch. :yay:

Since our trip is so early in the year, I usually have to wait for my passporter at the last minute...which I hate, so I've decided to just update it every five years and just refill the passpockets which I love! Will probably do the same for the Unofficial guide (I think my last one was from 2012 or earlier!), but I always buy the Birnbaum's every trip...any favorites you have? :coffee:

Last time we booked around June 20th for a February trip...hoping for the same time frame for this trip...oh, and maybe some free dining this time around? We keep missing it since we can't leave that Friday, but crossing my fingers for a little pixie dust on this trip!pixiedust:

Gosh... I haven't posted in YEARS! But we are finally planning another trip for February 2016! This will be the first trip with our boys (2yo and 4yo at the time of the trip). Well, we took my oldest when he was 2 months old, but I'm not counting that since it was a one day thing.

Considering splurging for a longer trip in Feb 2016 instead of a quick trip this year. When can you book packages for feb 2016? How do I price plan?

DW and I have booked our flight to head down February 13-18, right in the teeth of Presidents Day weekend/February vacation, but she works in education, so we have to go when we can. Touring plans have most of our days as 9s and 10s, but we're pretty good with handling crowds. We were in Disney for one day during the summer of 2014, but our last substantial trip was March of 2012. Likely staying at Pop Century with park hopper and the dining plan, though we likely won't be able to get a package booked for at least a month.

Looking forward to some new experiences.
- Seven Dwarves Mine Train
- New Test Track
- Disney Springs (Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, the Boathouse)
- Trader Sam's Grog Grotto
- hoping to score reservations for our first meals at Le Cellier and Ohana
- Harambe Village
- Frozen-strom? Maybe it'll be in soft open by then if we're super lucky

261 days!

I'm super excited for this! My next trip will be Feb 8th to Feb 13th! Finally convinced my boyfriend to go to my favorite place in the world with me! I'm excited and nervous he will hate it and never want to come back! Haha, hopefully that won't be the case but it's definitely in the back of my mind while planning! I'm trying to make it the best trip as possible for him!

I own DVC and the 7 month window will be rolling up next month and my top 3 choices are as follows : Poly (always been a dream but not holding my breath since its so new), Beach Club Villas (staying next to Epcot and HS would be AWESOME) and BLT (Mainly because of the view and ease of transportation between MK and Epcot... not a fan of theming so much). My main goal is to stay at a place that is convenient, beautiful (since we are going to plan more down time at resort) and has hopefully a firm bed for my boyfriend whose back is temperamental when we go on vacation!

We are planning on doing the QS dining plan which will be my first time for that. The last trip this Feb we did the DxDP and I started hating food/meal times because I was never hungry haha. So I have only eaten at a handful of QS and as I am trying to gear this towards my BF his favorite foods are pretty basic (think 5 year olds palette :rotfl: lol) So burgers, pizza, pasta.....which is fine. I think the more I go the less I am concerned about doing things the way I would do them, just because I know I can do them another visit :D

If anyone has awesome QS suggestions lemme know!!

Other than that I've been passing time reading TR and PTR and getting excited!

243 DAYS!! WOO!

:jumping1:

I bet everyone has their favorites, but my favorite QSs:
Be Our Guest (duh)
Columbia HH
Captain Cooks

Your 5year old, I mean your boyfriend, can always get the Mac and Cheese and fries at BoG!

Just booked our plane tickets this week! The first of many things to keep my excitement going!!

I have been considering checking out Hoop De Doo, I did the Spirit of Aloha a couple trips ago. I really enjoyed it even though I know a lot of people weren't a fan. Has anyone been to Hoop De Doo, trying to figure out if I'd find it fun or more awkward lol I don't want to really be interacted with when I'm eating :)

Joining! We will be down there January 31- Feb 6! Staying at AoA Cars Suite. I've already started my PTR (in my sig) and planning. :)

Those are the exact dates my DH informed me that our trip will be. Our December 2015 trip has been moved to February 2016. DH wants to Celebrate his birthday at the World.

Booking begins next Monday, June 22nd! Still tweaking dates/plans to figure out exactly what we will do...

Favorite QS:
MK: Casey's & Columbia Harbor House (although I recently had a bad experience this past February, so I'm not sure about returning any time soon...)
HS: This one is tough...we usually end up at Pizza Planet for the boys/theme, but I prefer TS here...Prime Time is a favorite and we are considering returning to Sci Fi or trying out Mama Melrose's...
EP: so many choices here...a must is the Yorkshire Fish Shop...then we usually just snack around the world for the rest of the time we are there...
AK: Flame Tree BBQ is a must! Yak and Yeti is nice too.

Good thing it's late and past dinner or I'd be craving everything here!

DTD: Fantasy Faire-corn dogs!; Earl of Sandwich, and Wolfgang Puck Express (yummy BBQ chicken pizza/sandwiches here)

Feb 7th-13th for our family of six. This will be our 1st stay at a deluxe resort(Contemporary). The girls are super excited! Also plan to use TP or Josh for the first time.. All previous trips I've planned and strategized myself with varying degrees of success.

I love your Golden Spoon numbers! I hadn't seen that before...so of course I had to go find it...and do it, twice!

I've eaten at 42 out of 94 quick service/counter service restaurants at Walt Disney World (45%)
I've eaten at 15 out of 75 table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World (20%)
I've eaten at 2 out of 19 signature restaurants at Walt Disney World (11%)
I've eaten at 2 out of 3 dinner show restaurants at Walt Disney World (67%)

By the way, we loved Hoop De Doo! We did the Luau way back right when a freak ice storm was hitting, and it was freezing! Considering the Luau on a future trip...probably not this next one though...love the atmosphere of Fort Wilderness though!
