My dad & I are off to the Texas vs. Texas Tech game in Austin Saturday. Should be a barn-burner! Hook-'em Horns!

Should get home in time for the first pitch of the World Series. Go Astros!

Ah yes, the Hokies, still undefeated and ranked #3. Who knows, even if Texas and USC win out, with SOS and an ACC championship game win, VT could still jump the #2 team in the BCS standings, b/c we have some teams left to play that are still pretty decent in terms of their ranking (BC, Miami, probably FSU in the title).

Ah yes, the Hokies, still undefeated and ranked #3. Who knows, even if Texas and USC win out, with SOS and an ACC championship game win, VT could still jump the #2 team in the BCS standings, b/c we have some teams left to play that are still pretty decent in terms of their ranking (BC, Miami, probably FSU in the title).

You forgot Virginia. While they may not have the rankings, they've been showing this season they win the hard ones and lose the easy

And now it's over. VT held the Eagles and their big O-line to just 27 yards rushing. 27! And only 183 total yards. All while racking up almost 500 yards themselves. And getting 26 first downs. Yes, that's 26! And Vick threw for 280 and a TD. I think for those who don't think VT is for real, you might want to check your sources again.

And don't think they can't jump Texas in the polls. Texas' SOS will only go down from here, even with a Big 12 Champ. game, while VT's will only go up (they still have Miami, UVA and the ACC Champ. game, probably against Florida State), so the computer rankings could most definitely improve for VT. We have to get the "Plus 1" playoff system implemented now, b/c it isn't fair to the more than 2 undefeated teams (if there are more than 2) to NOT have one!

For Texas, another first half deficit, another second half comeback win over Oklahoma State, 47-28, in Stillwater. I was NOT happy in the first half , but Vince & the gang came through again!

We still don't know how good our Utes could have done against any of the top 3 from last year because of the BCS abomination. Anyone who says we would have got killed has no more evidence to back that up than I do to say we would have done well. Decide it on the field!!

the Hurricanes lose Tyrone Moss, but manhandle the Hokies at home. the best parts of the game were the shots of the fans looking as bewildered as Marcus Vick. and the 'Canes fans chanting 'overrated'.

I thought the officiating in the Outback Bowl by the Conference USA officials was the worst officiating I've ever seen in the 30+ years I've been watching college football.
