~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

The discounts didn't work for our package at POFQ for the first week of December. I'm not too upset since I don't want to switch from POFQ.
Don't work for us at Poly, but don't want to switch either. We are also booked under a magical deal, so probably wouldn't have saved us anything anyway :)

We briefly considered changing from the magical deal at the Poly to Pop Century's RO deal when we saw how much we'd save-- close to $1000, even with a preferred room at Pop! But, then we decided to go on and go all out for this trip. We can always stay at a cheaper place, but we may not always be able to get this deal to be able to stay on the monorail.

I am really hoping that Disney releases the times for the MSEP and Wishes for Thanksgiving week soon. We have 9:10 reservations at 'Ohana on Nov. 28 and I am hoping to get down to the beach in time for the fireworks. If Wishes is typically at 10, then when do the fireworks actually start? I'm still looking for an earlier reservation, too.

Wishes IS the fireworks show, so will start at 10. Ohana normally runs behind and is a 60-90 minute meal, so you will never make it to the beach in time to see the fireworks. The good news is, if you cannot find an earlier reservation, you can see the fireworks from inside the restaurant and they even pump in the music. Just request a window seat when you check in, and say you are willing to wait.

Oh, that's great! What is the projection part on the castle called? That lasts a little while, right?

I'm wondering if we can try to check in a little early (8:45 ish), request the window seat, and say we are willing to wait? We are going to have down time between AK closing at 6 and our reservation anyway.

That's Celebrate the Magic and will start at 9:45 if Wishes is at 10:00. You will not have a good view of that outside the park though.

Gotcha. We will see that another night. Thanks for the help.

I am thinking about filling our time by sending the little one to Lilo's Playhouse, the big one (14) to explore on his own, and hubby and me to Trader Sam's. Has anyone had experience with the Disney childcare?

We have used Lilo's Clubhouse a couple of times (as different names) - DD loves it! We actually did it earlier this month - DD went there and DH and I went to Trader Sam's - it was such a fun night! She actually begged to go back a second time (we were there 2 weeks) - of course we obliged!

Who's the narrator and which show are you planning to attend? The first is generally the least crowded, but for popular narrators the line often starts forming hours in advance.
It still says TBA. Ugh, on the one hand I want to see the show, but on the other, I hate to wait valuable park time waiting in line.

Had to change our dates- so no longer going in December

Thanks everyone for the good times- I wish you all the best trips ever in December!!!

If it were me, I'd book a dining package now and wait and see who the narrator is. Then if it's someone unpopular or someone you don't want to see, you can always cancel later.

December RO and package discounts were released this morning.

Thank you posting this discount. My wife and I are going for 8 nights and staying at GF. I called regarding our reservations and we were able to save just over $1500.00 by basically rebooking the reservation. So...THANK YOU

Great news!!!

Does anyone know yet what days the parade taping is going to happen?
Someone in my FB group said a CM told them 12/3-12/6. Seems like a long time, unless some of those are backup days? But they were trying to book an MK tour for one of those days and was told it wasn't being offered due to the taping.

Will the taping make MK more crowded?

Roll Call is finally up to date. Thanks for your patience, ya'll. You know how it goes... Life and stuff. :goodvibes To those of your who made changes, THANK YOU so much, as most of you were kind enough to mention the dates you were listed under. As the Roll Call is organized by check-in date, giving me that information saves me a lot of time hunting you down in the list to get your information updated. :thumbsup2

Is anybody else feeling that dreadful lull between ADRs and FP+? I want to do Disney World things... But I've done pretty much everything I can! I sat down and came up with my first ever touring plan (sorta), which I discussed over the last couple weeks in great detail in my PTR. But beyond that, I really don't have hardly anything to work on for this trip until October. :scared: It's making me crazy!

Oh, and I also am still waiting on the CP narrator announcement for Dec. 10... :surfweb: A couple weeks ago, I did as a few PPs mentioned, and grabbed a dinner package, but am waiting to see who the narrator is before I decide if I'm going to keep it or not.

How is everybody else's planning coming along? :cutie:
