Hi! I'm joining in! DSis and I are *tentatively* planning a trip for December 7-13, 2014. I'm looking at adjusting those dates because of Pop Warner although when I was at WDW in December 2009 we were there during the Pop Warner dates and didn't notice any big issues. I do know that when December discounts come out, they usually blackout the Pop Warner dates, so that's the only reason I think we might change our dates. So glad to have some Dis friends to countdown with!!

I knew there was a board somewhere of people sharing their excitement for a Disney December 2014 vacation. Of course all my non-disney family and friends think I'm crazy planning this early. They just don't understand like my DIS Boards family.
Dates are November 30th - December 8th. Not Christmas but close enough !!!
I just found this calendar on Amazon. It starts September 1, 2013 - December 31, 2014 which is perfect for us December 2014 vacationers !!!

I've found the best way to deal with people who don't understand the craze is this... When they ask a question, don't answer it. Look it up on DISBoards, AllEars, etc... and then send them the link.

LOVE IT! this is so true. people think we are crazy that I look and book this far out, they just don't get it, wait, sometimes that includes my DH! It just happens to be my passion and love. should be able to call and book a resi this weekend! still trying to narrow it down to what Port Orleans we want to stay at. I do however know that we will still be doing 2 rooms and will not be doing a "value" this trip and will be adding DDP for 3 of the nights(we will be there for 5 nights and 2 are comp. from a mess up on the last trip)

Thought I'd go ahead and bump this thread up to the top!

Just got back from a weekend trip over Labor Day! It was fantastic once we got there. The weekend started off with a bang literally when I was rear ended by another vehicle travelling at about 75-80 mph. I was sitting still. He hit me so hard it lifted me up and flipped my truck end over end a couple of times. I was taken to the ER where they checked me out and released me. The paramedics called me a miracle because people dont normally walk away from such viscious crashes. The doctor told me to take it easy and to ride and do as much or as little as my body could handle. Other than being really sore and cranky, I was able to keep up with my family thanks to the magic of pain relievers.

We stayed at Pop and we got to test Magicbands and FP+. I certainly hope by Dec 2014 they are still testing because we certainly got to enjoy the best of both worlds. The FP+ seeting for Illuminations and MSEP are perfect. I would highly recommend choosing those as one of your FP+ options. Front and center in front of the WS lagoon, and front in center in front of Cinderella's castle. Getting to ride several things several times thanks to the new system and old system was definitely a plus for us.

Kids had a blast, and we openend and closed both parks on both days. Hopefully we can hold off until December 2014!

I'm glad you and your family are ok after a crash like that. And pain killers must've really helped. I bet IASW was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more interesting that day.

Hey everyone! We were at the World Christmas of 12, and hubby says he wants to do it again!! We are shooting for Christmas 14, and I am just about ready to book

Just getting everything narrowed down and calling.....vacation dates are set(can be adjusted by a day or so-if needed). will be at POFQ, 2 rooms for 5 of us Dec 22-27th. oldest DS, as of right now, doesn't want to go(must be something wrong with him) this way if we have the 2 rooms and he changes his mind, we can always add tickets for him. looks like we are adding DDP this trip so the whole trip so far will cost us @$4400.00 not likely to get FD, but a room discount would be nice-but highly unlikely too. seems like we only get good PINs for the years we aren't going....guess we budget for this and if we get a discount of any kind, that will be a bonus!

Just a little vent for myself...

But did anyone else notice that the Disney site removed the storybook feature from their MVMCP page? I know I'm not going for another year. But doing that on occassion, was just a fun little escape. The individual features from the storybook are available on youtube, but it's just not the same as controlling the story and then seeing your name in fireworks.

Color me let down.

Hey everyone! I'm VERY excited about finally going in December - my daughter (who will be 11 at the time) and I wanted to go last year and this year but money just hasn't been right so we are FOR SURE going next year! We're going to have to wait till after my last day of school though, Dec. 17th, so I'm pretty nervous at the crowds but I think it will be worth it! It's our favorite time of year and we cannot wait to finally go to MVMCP and see all of the lights and Christmas decorations!

Joining in!! We are planning for the middle of December 2014 with our new baby girl! I went on a girls trip December 12-17 2012, and decided that DH needed to see WDW at Christmas time, so we will be aiming for about the same dates for 2014. This trip will be longer though 7-10 days and some of it may be spent with my family as well. I am so excited!!

We got back from a Disney trip with our extended family in June (disaster trip, ugh!), and we're leaving next week for another Disney visit (always wanted to do the MNSSHP!!!) My next goal is to do Christmas-time at WDW, and we want to squeeze in one more trip before DS turns three, so we're planning for Disney the first week in December 2014 (right before DS turns 3 on the tenth!) I have always loved WDW, but I had no idea that my affection for it would increase exponentially once I had kids. So happy that my little guy loves Mickey as much as I do!

I am now following this thread! My sister and I are planning a trip for our families for December 26-30, tentatively. This will be both of our daughters first trips to Walt Disney World! I love Disney at Christmas time, but I know I will love it even more once I get to experience it with my daughter and family!
