I'm a nervous wreck - selected from a slew of applications to be 1/6 for a phone interview for a position I really want. The interview was on Friday. Waiting to see if I make the in person selection. This is so much more important to me that for the first time, I am barely thinking about the countdown to a Disney trip! I read the boards in an attempt to occupy my brain so it doesn't fry itself worrying if I did well or not or if I can get one more reference or run out into traffic and pick up a penny (yeah, did that on Sunday). You're all providing a valuable mental health service!

Could you all just write the team and let them know that I am clearly the best candidate and that I need to get ready for my trip so please, please offer me the position so we can all move on with our lives? I have dental surgery (with anesthesia) this week - that's taking up time and we are at the 25 day mark.

We aren't sports fans either but it saved me $1500 with free dining! Which of course I gave right back to Disney with MNSSHP, Cruella, and the Frozen dessert party.

I just looked back at the roll call to see how many people are off to WDW this week. I'm torn between "I'm SO jealous!" and "I'm not ready yet!" What I should do is drag my butt to school and start getting my classroom ready. That would help with both of those feelings.

Countdown to Disney: 16 days

It was mine for a while too, well, the lunch menu. Then they decided to make all day the Turkey Dinner, so I stopped going. Now they brought back their a la carte menu, so we have a ressie on our first Disney day Im excited!

I'm all about the Thanksgiving menu

This is our first trip to Disney in 6 years. We leave this Sunday at 5:55am from Chicago and are staying for a full week at the BWI. We are also doing Universal for one day with the EXP option.

The crowds have me concerned as well as the potential for a tropical depression potentially forming. But overall we are super excited about the trip.

I wouldn't worry so much about the crowds, I honestly don't think it will be that bad. Tropical depressions, now that is another story. Always the possibility for that to happen in August, but even that wouldn't worry me much.

Whaaaaat? When, where, how.....why???

Always a possibility, but in general, unless the Orlando area is hit directly by a hurricane, the parks will be open, and you'll be able to enjoy yourself.

Well the NHC needs to HUSH! NOT ONE RAINDROP is allowed 08/06 - 08/20.

So excited. After work tonite, I am headed to Houston to stay by the airport so I can fly out first thing in the morning!! WooHoo! Its also bittersweet tho cause this is my last trip for a while. My AP expires next month and I cannot renew it. But I will be back in 2021 unless I decide to go next Christmas again.

Haven't been since 2017 - do they still send out the package documents prior to the trip? I thought we used to get them around 30 days out but that was always going through a TA. This is our first trip booking on our own.

It's hard to believe I leave in 2 days! We fly out Thursday afternoon. Kind of hard to get thru these last 2 1/2 days of work (still trying to see if I can just be done tomorrow instead of coming in on Thursday). My parents leave to drive with my 2 nieces Thursday morning too. The girls are staying with them Wednesday night and they will be up and out Thursday morning and will arrive at Disney Friday night (all of the kids still think they are arriving Sat. and meeting us at the park so they will be so surprised when we get back from SeaWorld Friday and they are there waiting for us!)
My biggest thing this year is all three girls (11, 11 and 10) and doing BBB together. My DD has done it every year since she was 3 and the one year the one cousin was there with her. Ever since they were little I've said I would love if all 3 of them could do it together, but the one we didn't think would ever get there (choice of sis and BIL not to go). Anyways, they won't be little with their princess dresses but they have decided to wear fancy tutus that day! So if anyone is in MK a week from tomorrow and sees 3 older girls running around dressed up in the afternoon/evening and a mom with tearing eyes, that will be us lol (and I'm sure my mom/their grandma will be the same way!) Poor DS9, even though the girls are older it will still be princess overload! The last time when 2 of the girls were together I had him wear a "Princess Protection Agency" shirt - this time he told me no way lol. Thanks for listening to my babbling - not many others "get" this feeling!

We are all checked into our 6:50 AM flight for tomorrow, with a really good boarding group assignment! We are so excited!! If all goes according to plan we will be in the air and MCO bound at this time tomorrow!!!

I just have to get through my 3 hour long meeting(I've already warned everyone that focusing will not be my strong suit today!) and then home to finish cleaning and take the dogs to the doggy sitter.

@DISNEY1975 I didn't know that LTT changed their menu back to a la carte. We would have booked that to try. The turkey dinner doesn't appeal to anyone but me in the family. I really want to try the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. I'm going to look at our plans and see if there's anything we may want to drop for it.

Are you talking about your magic bands or your magical express luggage tags?
