The "Official" August 2011 Who's going?

Well I know it's a little early for this, we have already made our reservation! We are staying at the cabins 8/19-8/23 and the moving to the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge until 8/29. My cast of characters is my husband of 23 years, 46. Me 46 and my son who adores Disney, 15.

I will keep a running list of dates and resort. I would also love to hear what restaurants you are eating at and any other plans that you may have.

We are excited for the freedom of the free QSDP this time but are planning a couple of TS meals OOP. Looking forward to planning with everyone.

We are going Aug 22-28th, I must warn you although we haven't changed the dates, I have changed resorts three times. As of today....
GF Sugarloaf CL - we have 2 rooms


myself, DH, DS 9, DD 6, DD 4 (will be 5), DD3 (will be 4), and DS 2.

DS 19 and GF at ASM, and MIL (maybe, who will be with us if she comes).
MIL is going to Poly in Feb with BIL, so I told her to check out GF and make her decision, how can she NOT want to come?

I'm so happy that I found the Aug 2011 thread!!! I was looking for it in the wrong forum. My dates are Aug 16-23. Haven't booked yet, because I just decided to go this month, and with it being Christmas and all, that extra $200 is being used this month. I am suprising DD11 (will be 12 when we go) with the trip. She hasn't been since she was 5 and doesn't remember a whole lot. We are going with her bff and bff's mom and sharing a room at ASSP. Just a girls only trip. SO EXCITED to be planning this trip. She asked me the other day if we were going to get to go to Disney this year, and I told her, probably not. I'm hoping to get the free dining, and according to the Disney website, it's still being offered then. So here's to fingers crossed.

Well it looks like there are a few of us that will be there at the same time. I do believe it will be free dining. We have a room only the first 4 days of the trip, at the cabins. In order to qualify for free dining (we have AP's) will cost us an extra $800. It wasn't worth it for the free dining. We will have Tables in Wonderland card by then.

Hey everyone! I was in the July group but then things have changed and moved around so now I'm aug 28 thru sept 1, we don't have ressies made yet but we are leaning for ASMu family suite with upgraded dxddp (mostly so we can use them at 2 credit places) We were gong to go with dx resort but decided to cut it back since we are staying in Md at the beach for the week before and then driving from there to FL!

Ok today I got my ressie put on hold till I got to talk with dh, so we are ready to get it all set next week on payday! I never knew they would hold a ressie for a week for you to make sure it's what you want and for you to get your deposit in!

We are at AsMu family suite with me, dh, ds8, dd5, dd4, ds2 and.....our babysitter 12y/o! yay

We're in too! Upgraded the free dining to the DDP. Beach Club 8/18 to 9/3. It's going to be alot of eating but we're looking forward to using some of the credits on the 2 credit meals. Can't wait!!!

Count the Marsons in! We are there the last three weeks of August staying at AKL CL followed by POR.

To say we are counting down the days is an understatement!!

We are going from August 20-Sept 5. Staying at our new favouite ASMu in a preferred room. This will be our first repeat resort. We stayed there last year and loved the music and activities at the pool. We are in the pool nearly every day so it's a big bonus. I've already got a rental car booked for 7 days in the middle of our stay. I will need to go to the mall a couple of times. We decided to stick with the QSDP that is included in the package. Normally we have had the DDP so this will be a switch but we think it will add to the relaxation factor of the trip. Now I need to decide on a couple of TS places for dinner that we will pay OOP for. DD wants to go to 50's PT, so that's a must do this time.

I was thinking that we would be staying at ASSP, but now, not so sure. I'm leaving it up to DD bff and her mom to pick. Since they have never been there, I said, pick one of the values that looks like the ONE! DD bff is super duper excited, to say the least.
