*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

:offtopic:-- Would you keep my DD's BF Bailey in your thoughts on Monday.. 14 year old girl having open heart surgery. Putting a pace maker in.. doctors are very optimistic that she will recover quickly and go home in 2 days..

WOW!!! Medical Technology has really moved on...:thumbsup2

Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your DD's BF! We have amazing pediatric facilities in DFW, so I'm sure she is in great hands. :)

Some of my favorite music in the parks is in Fantasyland. I love the music at Alice and the Teacups!

You are right about DFW having one of the best Pediatric Doctors and Facilities.

Thanks to all - Bailey is the girl the second from the right.....

You all have great song choices.. Love them all too... have weekend to everyone. :offtopic:-- Would you keep my DD's BF Bailey in your thoughts on Monday.. 14 year old girl having open heart surgery. Definitely will keep her and her family in my prayers. And you are right about medical technology, it's amazing that open heart surgery is now practically routine.

Thinking of her!

Thank you all for thinking of Bailey. The Doctors said she did very well. Took the girls to see Bailey after the 8th grade softball game.

Can not believe Bailey looks so well after having open heart surgery 8 hours ago. She went into recovery at 300pm and in her room at 530pm with visitors at 800pm.

All of the girls go to Holy Family Catholic School. They have been school mates since kinder... They acted as if they are all sisters... What a great bunch of girls...

Aww yay! So glad she's doing well. Also that's how my Catholic grade school was. Even now, almost 30 years later I'm still friends with some of those kids :)

What a lovely group of girls----Thanks for sharing!

So glad that Bailey is doing well!!!:)

So I was looking at our dates for both our Disney Trips ( Going to WDW in Sept after DL in July ) .. I find it amazing that I have my WDW dining all planned out and booked but I am still 76 days out from DL and can not book any dinners yet LOL :lmao: ... So as a WDW vet I am still learing things about DL .. we are 4 adults and 1 child staying in the DLH my question is we picked the DLH for our 12 year old son and the fact that our 22 and 19 year old girls can go back to the resort and never have to leave Disney Property .
I am thinking of booking a world of color package but am still unsure if it is worth the money ? Has anyone done this ?? I think since it is our first trip it maybe soemthing that is worth it but with 5 days in the parks is it something I can just get a FP for ? Also the lines for Elsa and Anna are they just as bad in DL as they are in WDW ? I want to go see them but not one person in my family is intrested ...

I personally would rather use the extra money for the F! Dessert package than WOC because you can get the FP's for WOC and still get pretty good spots from what I understand

RHMH, so happy that Bailey is doing fantastic! Wonderful news :goodvibes

Coastermom, I would also spend the money on the F! dessert. At least with F! you get a seat and a great viewing area. For WOC you are not guaranteed a great spot and you have to stand the entire time.

Question, our PP+ arrived today (Yay!) and I am wondering if I need to bring the whole thing (disc etc) or just the voucher?

Anyone know?

Inside there is a voucher, that is what you bring. Do NOT throw out the other insert! It has the code to get your disc of pictures. I almost tossed it my first time with it and I am glad I double checked it!

I HIGHLY recommend the PP+! I am usually never in the pictures as I am the one person taking the pictures.

I must admit that I haven't checked this thread in a while, so this is the first time I'm reading about your daughter. I'm so glad that her surgery went well! It definitely doesn't look like she just had open heart surgery from the picture! Isn't it amazing how resilient kids can be? I wish her well in her recovery. :flower3:

It's ok, we know everyone has busy lives and it's hard to find some time to sit down rest.

Thanks for your support.. it's not my DD.. it was her friend Bailey.. She is doing super.. Thanks again for thinking of her.

Good Day To Everyone..

WOW!! it won't be long before we are in front of Mickey and the Gang...:cool1:

I know I have posted tentative dining plans but going over Dis-Menus, Disney Site Restaurants and Posted Menus - I am having a hard time which ADR's to actually book.

Just don't know right now... nothing looks good.... I have even tried not eating dinner and looking at menus all night and STILL nothing grabs me... :confused3

The only thing that really stands out are the Restaurants on the east side, 2 blocks north and south of the parks. :rolleyes1

The CS is Disney normal and we like it, but the TS is a bit off the beating path for us other than a steak here and there..

I guess we can live off of Turkey Legs and Chicken Nuggets :lmao: OR make Peanut Butter Sandwiches.
