Anyone with an account on any of Disney's sites can get a PIN, now referred to as "Unique Offer Code". It doesn't matter if you have ever been or if you are already booked. Last year multiple first-timers received codes that had repeat visitor wording on them. It is totally random as far as anyone knows.

How do typically offered room-only discounts for value resorts (any of them, not picky) compare percentage-wise to AAA room-only discounts? (assuming they are extended past Oct. 3rd) Thanks.

I just got off the phone with a CM who helped me tweak my existing Oct 12-19 vacation. All you other non-FD folks may notice that these dates are squarely in the NO Discounts of Any Kind part of the Disney calendar

After making pleasant conversation with the CM and lamenting the discount-free time of year (but agreeing that it is a great time to be at Disney), he ended our call with "Discounts come at any time, so if you see any offers, you just call back and we'll see what we can do" or something to that effect. I quickly asked "Is that a hint that I should be on the lookout for upcoming offers?" and he just said "Well, they come out at any time, so if you click on the special offers link and you see something, you just pick up your phone right away and call us right up!"

The optimism of the desperate, or does that sound like a promising clue to you?

I googled RO discounts and it brought up 8-18 through TA... could be an option if u want. I am not going then but since its Columbus day week i am not sure how many discounts are offered

Pardon me for being slow, but am I reading you right? You found RO discounts for oct 8- oct 18? Sounds great & I have no other discounts available to me, where did you find it? (Sorry, I tried googling every phrase I can think of & saw nothing past oct3). Thx!

Seeing how they released FD in beginning of May, just like 2013, we won't get a RO until August (which is what a lot of you have speculated anyway.) Here at mousesavers.

The thing that scares me is that 2011 had no RO discount. Errr....I hope that's not the case this year!

If the arrival date is in that window but the trip extends beyond it, does the discount carry over, or are only the dates within the window discounted?

For RO discounts they do not carry over. You will however have a discount on the days that do fall within the promotion. Lets say the first 3 days fall within the RO promotion, you would have a discount on those days, the dates beyound the promotion will not be discounted.
