The norm or a bit odd?

Our guide called after we closed on our first contract that was a resale in 2004. She also call us at home a couple of weeks ago to see how things were going. I think it depends on how busy they are and if there is a slow down they will call to see if you need more points. I have received postcards before we have travelled hoping we have a good trip, but I don't know if that is automatic or if she is doing it.
 
Our guide leaves us a VM every trip. We stay at Disney several times a year. The message is always something like, "welcome home. If you need anything call me. Have a magical stay". I don't remember the exact words. We get cards a few times a year too. Nothing pushy or sales oriented. He just more or less lets us know that he is still around. I appreciate the "hello". To me, this is one of the reasons that make Disney exceptional! :goodvibes
 
Never hear from our guide. He's a really nice guy and all but not hearing from him unless I need to speak with him is fine. If I call he gets back to me the next day but as far as a "Welcome Home", etc. nope.
