I also wanted Paul to win, and was sad when he got kicked off before Jag. Jag just annoyed me, always saying his whole name and then saying Jag after it... just obnoxious.
I couldn't believe that the final two were going to be Jag and Rory - since Amy had done better than Jag at just about every challenge. I'm not really an Amy fan, but I certainly liked her better than him.
After last night's episode, and Jag "resigning", I read about him on some military message board. I don't understand why he felt the need to lie about graduating from culinary school, since it's obviously not a requirement. And lying about serving in Afghanistan? That's just disgraceful. Does lying change his cooking abilities? No, not at all -- but this lie garnered respect and sympathy from the judges that he didn't deserve.
All that being said, I'm now rooting for Rory. I think she's more fun than Amy, and more down to earth. She reminds me of Rachael Ray a little, actually. Amy may be the better package, but I can't picture myself watching "The Gourmet Next Door".
