The next big thing....

So, like many others here, I am checking daily to see when the next discount will be out and looking for any clues or hints that are out there to be found.

What I am now wondering about is where the initial "hint" about stay/play/dine first came from? Wasn't there some hint that it might be coming for January because a similar thing was being done elsewhere (I want to say for an international group maybe??) and came to this board by way of the Dining Plan Board? That obviously turned out to be true so I want to stalk wherever the initial hint of it came from, LOL!

I know that we heard about the current offer first when Danny25 gave us a heads up. Thanks Danny! But I am just not sure about that stay/play/dine discount before the current one.

I don't know where it came from but I am watching for the next discount too. Hoping for fd for end of August!!!

I'm just worried about Danny's prediction that Value's won't get Free Dining this year What is the next price up for Moderates? I mean which resort is the next price up from Value's as far as Mod's go? We may have to upgrade if we don't get a code to make it feasible to add on dining at a Value.

Caribeean is the next step up...we just booked it under the current promo for 8 nights in June and it was only about $220 more...of course that was with a 20 or 20% discount so if you had to pay rack it would probably be a bit more of an increase (but probably worth it if you were getting free dining)...

I guess what I dont get with that comment is if you are staying at a deleuxe are you really getting quick service dining...I mean to say most of the people that stay there...I mean we enjoy the quick service plan but I will say if I had more money to spend we would be getting regular dining and I tend to think people staying at the Poly arent interested in the quick service plan...although I guess this might be disney way of getting more money with the upgrade price...

Yea I don't understand it either....and would think that Deluxe resorters would want a deluxe dining plan or at least the regular one. I know there has to be some method to their madness, they have smart people running their business and I'm sure it makes sense on paper LOL.....for us, as a family of 7 (now traveling with 6......but maybe 8 if we can get the one that moved out to go with us again) it just makes more sense to stay Value and get 2 rooms/2 bathrooms/4 beds....etc. I'll check on the Caribbean though, so I have all my ducks in a row should a discount present itself soon

Caribeean has a water slide ....and a coffee pot lol I know but it was a selling feature for my sister who needs coffee as soon as see gets up and I was not going to walk to the food court in my PJs for her lol...but they still have full beds there unlike the other moderate with queen...

Any resort tier can add any dp at rack rate. You can always upgrade. You are not locked into anything.
